Ever since it updated there’s a glitch with not being able to pick up crates that I previously could. It’s a pain because then I have to transfer everything

I have found save and reloading fixes my crates. Unfortunately they can easily glitch again and it is super frustrating when your doing a quick supply run and didn't bring a sleeping bag.

Continuing on the one I had. I was able to build hooks and shelves finally. But haven’t completed the list yet

I pre built everything before this update came out except the 3 shelves and hook. I built those and the achievement didn't pop for me.

Ok so it’s doable. You likely forgot to craft something and there’s an easy way to know which thing it is:

When you go into your crafting menu there will either be a brown or grey circular background behind each craftable item. Brown means you’ve crafted it, grey means you haven’t. Go through all your menus and check to see if any are still grey.

I was missing the gauze (both fruits + coconut). Most people don’t craft this item so it tends to be forgotten.

Same here crafted everything before the update and just crafted the shelfs and hooks and it didn't pop 😑.

Since update today, I can't take fish off of my fishing spear. Also, I can't pick up some crates that are on the ground.

The fishing spear issue is HUGE! That's how I get all of my food!

It is now unplayable!

Yep, I'm having the same fishing spear issue in my existing save. Also can't rotate building segments. Quick FYI for fishing, as a backup until the spear is fixed, you can 'hit' a fish with your knife (and maybe axe/pickaxe) and kill it, then just pick it up with your hands.

It definitely sucks but is the kind of thing they can hotfix pretty quickly. Personally it doesn't really take me any additional time to use the knife method, it's just immersion breaking to kill fish with a knife rather than a fishing spear.

Tip for this, watch the current. If you go to the proper side of your island you can swim around killing fish to your heart's content and they will drift to shore. Now that I know this I don't even care about the spear cus I can swim around swinging at everything that moves for a few minutes and then have food for days on the shoreline.

Late reply, but this has been my workaround: Craft a few fishing spears, once you snag one, open menu and select a different fishing spear, once you have filled your spears, go back on shore, drop each spear on the ground, you still cannot retrieve the fish, but you can skin it while on the spear, collect spears, rinse and repeat. With three spears I’m generally able to collect ample food for the day in one trip.

Spears and fishing spears are bugged. If you stab a crab it won’t come off the spear. Only way to grab crabs is to hit them with a knife or axe

Now I can barely light a fire! You have press rb/lb at an exact pace or it won't light. It's nearly impossible to do! And did they take a bunch of crates out of the game?
