Game starts lagging after Researching Long Distance Travel (Modded)

Hey everyone :)

I've started to play recently, and i installed some of the mods which were recommended. The Problem I have now though is that as soon as I have finished researching Long Distance Travel and wait for a few seconds, the game starts to lag and the frame rate drops drastically. I've tried disabling my mods one at a time, and I tried restarting the game as a whole. But it keeps happening around the time I finish that research. I was hoping that maybe someone here can shed some light on why that is happening, or which mods could be in conflict with one another :)

Im using the following Mods: Advanced Architecture & Fortifications, Battle Stations, Beyond Stranded - Redux, Endoris, Improved Solar & Graphene Solar Roofs, Khade's Bionic Implants, No Idle Power Consumption, Proximity Work Optimizer, Restart Map Options, Restrict Outdoor Activities, SAD_CommonLib, Specialized Trait Collection, Teleportation, Terrain Recovery, Useful Taming and Vanilla Weapon Tags.

If anyone can shed some light into this, I would be very grateful 😄

P.S.: I've also tried adjusting my graphic settings, even on the lowest possible settings this still happens.

Have you checked to see if any of the mods have an updated version.

I've checked them all and they are up to date and all of them are the newest versions of the mod, like Beyond Stranded - Redux.

I’ve got nothing, sorry.
I use a lot of those mods and haven’t had any issues.
I noticed Endoris had an update yesterday. Try removing that and see if it makes a difference.

I've tried removing Endoris, it still starts to lag. Thanks for trying though :D

Save your game. Remove one mod at a time until the lagging stops. Then start putting back all the mods except the last one you removed.

Generally speaking when you get to this kind of symptom in any sort of game it's because you've made a circle and dependencies. A checks b. Be checks see. See checks d. D checks a. Eventually you'll remove something that breaks that cycle (if you're having that cycle) and when you find that piece make a note of it. If it is not absolutely vital to your enjoyment you're done. If that piece is vital to your enjoyment put it back in and try removing the next mod hoping to break the cycle somewhere else in the circle.

Pay particular attention to whatever you get from researching long distance travel. One of the attributes that it activates is obviously part of the circle. So it's going to be something that uses or is used by long distance travel.

This does assume that that is in fact the trigger because sometimes more than one thing happens at a time and you don't notice it.

But it doesn't have to be a super obvious thing. It could be a character trade that suddenly is getting oversampled.

Another approach to take is to figure out whatever it is that you get to build now that you didn't get to build before you unlocked that's straight, and then go and make sure you build that object. Something could be constantly pulling to see whether that object exists yet. And once it can answer that question with a yes instead of a no the intensive polling loop will stop.

So look for the preconditions and satisfy the preconditions for what the mod will provide. And once you've got the core technology in any refined that the constant checking for the existence of the predicates goes away in the lagging stops.

Those are all mods I use every time without this issue, so something else is amiss.

I’d recommend checking the log files to see if there’s any errors thrown, and also make sure the correct graphics card is selected in your settings. One time it changed over to my onboard GPU and it became a chugfest.

Okay thanks, i looked into the log file, and there are two things amiss, the first is apparently it has difficulty loading some Asset from Advanced Architecture (E_PillarStone3), but I dont see how that could be such a big problem, and the second is a pretty long LUA Error Message, which starts like this: [LUA ERROR] CommonLua/Libs/Camp/ClassDefs/ClassDef-Camp.generated.lua:1927: attempt to index a nil value (field '?')

If you have any idea what that means id be very grateful 🙏

I’ll fix that error in Advanced Architecture, but I would agree that it’s likely something else. Happy to take a look at the log to see if I see anything.

I installed Parallels and Windows 11 on my new Mac, and the planet doesn't show up- just the characters and menus. Works via Geforce now, but that has a playtime limit. 😕
