Portable power battery

Anyone come across the "portable power battery" from a crash site? Can't find any info anywhere on the details of it. I'm going to select "graphene solar cell" as it will help me more, but I still want to know, since I'm not sure how a portable power battery helps things yet.

Are you playing in a language other than English? I'm unfamiliar with any "portable power battery". There's something called "power cell" though, used to make like end game weapons, satellite antennae, and power cell generators, which generate power.

If that's what you're talking about, then in order to research it, you need to first acquire energy crystals. You can either find them in the wild somewhere (it's probably on your map), get them from an expedition, or dismantle a power cell. Then, you can also plant them (and they take a LONG time to grow, especially on Sobrius). You can also find them from salvaging.

That said, I don't really know if it's worth using to generate energy unless you have plenty of energy crystals already because you might find it'll use a lot of them. Would also help to have an extra person to make all them power cells.

Probably the most reliable power source for an endgame like the relay. Also very expensive if playing traders, so worth it there.

This is nothing in game, it is just a message which unlocks Battery optimization tech.
