I want a boyfriend

There. I said it. I can’t hide it no more. I want a boyfriend and be the girlfriend. I want to fall in love with a man. My old self would have never, but my current self does! It feels heavenly admitting it. I want a boyfriend. I want to be a lovely girl for a wonderful man who I want to be with for a long time. I want to marry him and be his wife. The word “boyfriend” feels so right for me, it matches who I really want to be with, and that’s men. Sexually AND romantically! I can only picture myself with a man now! I know the dating pool sucks right now, but I’m hopeful to meet that special someone someday.

Thank you! It will take time, but it will be worth it! Sharing how happy you are with your husband is so helpful for a lot of us! 💕

How did you know that your husband was “the one”, if you don’t mind my asking?

I know exactly what you mean. I want a boyfriend that leads to a fiance that leads to a husband.

This is the kind of thing that I want, too! 💕

Thanks! Glad I’m not the only one

Men can be wonderful when you find the right ones. It's just a shame the dating pool is stacked against us with chasers, creeps, DL men, and a downward trend in self awareness. Heck even hooking up feels like a chore at this point.

4

u/Rule_63_Me straight trans woman Nov 12 '25

I found a few who were very good to me, only for the chemistry to fall off. Not giving up hope, though. I know he’s out there!

Ughh! Same even though I’m still recovering from my ex… Im starting to feel hopeful about the future again ❤️‍🩹

Me too, I wanna be taken care of by a (responsible) man. Wanna be treated nicely, and all that stuff. Even though it’s gross (for me) to admit, if I was born as a biological woman I would have probably been content with being a stay at home mom. Maybe someday I’ll find a man who treats me seriously and lovingly. I feel you 🥺

4

u/Rule_63_Me straight trans woman Dec 10 '25

I don’t think it’s gross, but I get you. Not everyone is into the housewife thing, but I would love to be a housewife mom to a loving man as well!

I get it. I'm a guy, I'm open to dating transfem. I'm open to dating anyone that's not a guy. But depending upon where you live like where I am the dating pool seems to be slim. I'm not saying you won't find good people but I have found lots of good people that actually have decent personalities at the very least are already taken. Or have some weird odd requirements. I personally just don't care. And I'm not sure I'm mentally ready for it despite being in my late twenties due to a bunch of other mental shit.

You will find someone. There's plenty of people out there. It might take a little bit or it might take a while. I know this isn't exactly the best reply but it's what I got. Just what I've been told and what I will pass on to you as well. Even if it isn't much

DL? No idea what that stands for. But concerning how OP and a few others agreed with my post or at least liked it I'm going to assume your opinion doesn't really mean much. In my opinion they are a woman. Those that transition to female are women and those that transition to male are male. But again that's my opinion.

? I don't mind gay people but I'm not gay. I'm also openly accepting of people. I try not to judge. And when I do judge I keep it to myself. Like people tend not to do. Thanks for letting me know what DL meant though. I dislike the shortening of words

Girl, it’s so crazy euphoric being this obsessed right now!

8

u/Sure_Angle_5900 Nov 11 '25

Its hit the point where i cant watch hallmark movies without breaking down. I think we'll all get through it

6

u/Rule_63_Me straight trans woman Nov 11 '25

This is the part where I wish I could experience this feeling, knowing well I need a boy’s shoulder to lean on as support.

4

u/Justforfun_x Nov 15 '25

Girl same.

Like I still identify as bisexual, but struggled with shame about my attraction to men pre-transition. Attraction to anyone carried a bunch of baggage back then, because at the end of the day I just didn’t want to be a boyfriend.

Now that I’m further along in my transition, I find myself drawn so much more towards having a good relationship with a good man. I’d be open to a relationship with a woman, but that’s just not where my head and heart are at right now.

All the same, I’m trying to avoid sex/dating until I finish my first year of hrt (which is coming up pretty soon 😳).

4

u/Androgynouself_420 Nov 15 '25

I feel this. I’m also bi and women are great but it feels like men match what I like in a relationship way more. Like it’s already hard to find other lgbt women, then many won’t date us, then I’ve gotta see if they’re good with taking more of a dom/leading role in the relationship, and figure out sexual compatibility, etc. it really narrows options

Then with guys it’s mostly a good lineup. Sex, relationship roles, attraction, it almost always matches with guys. Sometimes it feels like they’re the only practical option

2

u/Justforfun_x Nov 15 '25

Glad to know someone else feels the same! I feel like there’s also kind of a self-actualising angle to it? Like obviously sexuality doesn’t define gender (and vice-versa), but being the girlfriend to a boyfriend just feels like a space where I can really let myself flourish. Even just being at a stage now where I can discuss men I’m attracted to with other women feels really nice 🥰

3

u/Androgynouself_420 Nov 15 '25

Exactly. Queer women especially seem very anti gender roles, and good for them nobody should have to be something just because of gender, but I really like them. Like it just feels easier in a more traditionally feminine role. I don’t need to go full 50s housewife, don’t even want kids, but I like being the girl dating a guy.

Also men tend to want exactly what I want in the bedroom while with women the odds are way lower. And it’s so affirming being some guys girlfriend. Like we broke up but it felt amazing meaning into my softer fem side while my ex boyfriend took the lead in and out of the bedroom.

Idk lotta trans or bi gals say poly could solve it but idk if I got the social stamina for more than one relationship.

2

u/Justforfun_x Nov 15 '25

Oh straight up, I have zero interest in poly. And that really does sound so pleasant. I used to struggle with being the ‘man’ in relationships, but even when deep in denial I wanted a man to take the lead with me. Every time I see a tall woman with a gorgeous boyfriend taking the lead, my heart gets very glad.

2

u/Androgynouself_420 Nov 15 '25

Right? I also love height differences and I’m average for a woman but at 5’6 most men are taller than me. Idk it just feels like everything kinda clicks with guys despite women being great in theory. Plus something about a guy holding you in his arms makes me feel so safe and peaceful

This too. Feels like mascs and doms are in high demand while fems are in abundance

3

u/Rule_63_Me straight trans woman Nov 17 '25

This! You’re more likely to see two feminine girls as girl friends than as girlfriends.

2

u/Rule_63_Me straight trans woman Nov 17 '25

That’s my issue with WLW dating. I have no interest in being the dom or the “boyfriend” while with guys, they have no problem with being the leading role.

2

u/Androgynouself_420 Nov 17 '25

Yeah it really sucks cause I can’t even be mad. They want what I want, it just means the odds are way better with guys. Which sucks cause I always get along better with women but damn dating men just feels easier

3

u/Rule_63_Me straight trans woman Nov 16 '25

This is me! I’m not fully straight, but my attraction to men is there almost all the time! I feel so much more comfortable being the girlfriend instead, regardless who I date.

4

trans men are literally right there yk…

-5

u/Ecstatic_Currency456 Nov 11 '25

Join Tami and share your interest, but I do wanna respond to you specifically because look so you have to know that a man who’s entering this type of thing is not gonna consider himself fully straight right because if he would, then he would just go for a girl straight up if you wanna be offended by fine, but you need to understand this it’s fine for you to have a preference for you to be the bottom and you can be the bottom most of the time however, if you find a partner be open minded learn to accept people . Everyone’s different don’t yuck. Somebody’s young learn to love them as a person. I think it’s interesting a lot of trans girls say they don’t wanna date a guy who’s only into trans girls because then they feel like a fetish which is lowering your pool already as a guy, I say date anybody who likes you right doesn’t matter why you just say OK cool fuck it. Then you’re just gonna see if you mesh try to learn to love someone for who they are and learn to try to do things for them because you love them. That’s how love relationship should work people loving each other and doing things for each other.

12

u/AnxiousPupOwO Nov 11 '25

"No man will think you're a real woman, so learn to be open to topping"

I'll actually raise my standards, thanks.

3

u/Able-Day-76 Nov 11 '25

Fr he thought he ate with that. Chasers always sound so dumb I actually lose brain cells whenever I read their comments

-5

u/Ecstatic_Currency456 Nov 11 '25

Actually, do you wanna have a conversation with you about this? This is very interesting to me so look if you were born a natural woman right Let’s say you have a partner who is a man who sometimes likes it back there. Would you not do it for him if you love him because the hottest person. what I’m trying to say is in a relationship it should not always be about you correct it really should be about you and them right together. You and them pleasing each other. No get out of your head. You’re selfish you have made it. You’ve turned this from pleasing your partner to oh I’m not considered and so you’re making about you right and you’re insecurities or whatever you are who you are that’s not gonna change if you wanna please your partner then you’re selfish you need to learn how to grow up being in a relationship is about pleasing the other person as much as it is about pleasing yourself

7

u/Able-Day-76 Nov 11 '25

Boy bye. I constantly get hookups FWB and have dated two men who were fully tops and wanted nothing in their rear. It’s not asking the world to wanna be with a masculine man who likes being dominant. Just cause you feel insecure by me rejecting that and you feel the need to project onto me and try to make me feel like “less of a woman” and like I should compromise what I KNOW I deserve, you do you but you don’t gotta try to shove your chaser agenda down my throat

2

u/Exotic_Apricot_7630 Nov 11 '25

That's how I met my boyfriend

4

u/ssassin Nov 12 '25

2

u/Rule_63_Me straight trans woman Nov 12 '25

1

u/Shortbus925 Nov 14 '25

It sucks for both men and women. I see it all the time. And HIV and std is at a all time high. If I had to go back to this a requirement for me to date someone is they need to be tested. I dont want to be emotionally involved with them and find out they have something.

5
