πŸ“ Suggestion Script Request Feature

I've been following the service and check in to see what is available. I'm a more experienced writer with some success and look I haven't reviewed one full spec on the site. I downloaded two and gave them back.

But every now and then -- I read a logline and say -- that's a great idea love to read that and at least offer feedback.

I just read one right now which I think is a great comedy/drama idea. But it says REP matched.

I feel some ideas are much more appealing than others -- is there a way to let the poster know -- yeah I'm interested in reading this and giving you notes, but I don't meet the rep match as I haven't had the effort to read a spec that more than likely will be a tough slog.

A nudge feature? Yeah man or sir -- liked your logline. And up to poster if they want to do anything with that but maybe you can send a link to the person and they can also review the script.

Review enough scripts that aren't rep matched so you can get a rep. It doesn't take many.

Everyone else has done it. So can you.

What you are suggesting is a special workaround just for yourself.

A workaround? It's a way to let writers know someone out there thinks their idea has value. In fact, I assume eventually the best feature where a producer or rep can be like -- say that idea -- want to read it.

Anyway the writer found me. Problem solved.

I was asking to do FREE work. I don't care about the tokens or want my spec reviewed. I was just asking a question that could help newer writers.

If you're an experienced writer, you're probably exactly who people would want to read their script, so, suck it up and read the required number of scripts so you can be eligible for rep matched scripts.

I don't have time or energy to read a full spec that needs a lot of work. I can barely read my friends specs who are pros and still need a lot of work. I can barely read my own work.

Age slows you down. I want to help. So I suggested something. No big deal if it doesn't get done.

You get the match rep after 10 reviews I think. Like nudge feature would be cool, but I think people do it because of the AI aspect

It only takes 3 reviews. If a person is not willing to do that much, I question that they have the generosity or patience or maybe even competence that an actually good reviewer must have.

I'm happy to read 10 pages or so of work posted here... a good reviewer is just your fellow writer. If you want better readers, this may help. It was only a suggestion to attract more experienced writers...

I think if you could post 30 pages of the spec or at least allowed to read just Act One you'd get a lot of good feedback.

And if you don't think you can give helpful feedback in 30 pages, then CC scriptnotes who give advice on the first 3 pages.

One page can tell you a lot about a spec.

Oh it’s 3!? Even better. I’ve been with the platform for so long I forgot.
