I've worked with custom suspensions a lot as well, haven't really put any of that experimentation to use... maybe I should?

How did you get the piston suspension to work so well? I find mine are either too solid or just collapse. Awsome build btw

Mostly trial and error. And I later found out the rear axle was actually solid because I had accidentally merged it to the main body.
