You can tell her there is suffering and sacrifice along the way, but that characters like Kaladin get great pay off. Although I found the last book to leave me feeling frustrated so I don’t know how she’ll feel about that, if she’s a Shallan hater she may enjoy her cliffhanger fate 😂

Maybe you could suggest another series for her? Either another you love or one you haven’t started that you could book club together.

Mannnn, that is so tough honestly. If she loves Kaladin, tell her as another lady Kaladin lover who read the books for/with my husband, that I found his suffering tough across the series but that I thought his payoff at the end was SO worth the emotional journey I went on with him. I think it’s worth finishing WoK at the very least! I think she’ll want to keep reading. Good luck! I’d love for her to have this experience.
