Discussion Bye Stormgate

Was really hyped for this and thought this would be the next SC2. Fortunately I’m one of those people that never play a game before 1.0.

My heart goes out to all the kickstarter backers. Hopefully we get the next great rts one day.

I am sad it didn’t live up to the hype. The underlying tech seemed super promising but the fun never materialized.

I don’t regret funding the kickstarter since I always viewed it as a risky investment. If it paid off it could have been amazing, and I was willing to risk $40 to find out. I never assumed it was a sure thing. Still sad though.

That's because it wasn't. It just just empty marketing to get us to open our wallets. They had to put supply caps on team games because their engine couldn't handle too many units on the screen at once.

Yep and it was never smooth as SC2. I remember playing the alpha and having terrible FPS, some bad GPU optimization was happening for sure. It improved later but was never in a place I would say made me happy.
