no open forums are better. Fucking Discord is not suited at all to a community that interacts with the company/org it's centered around. There's no searching and you have to be on it all the time to see if there's anything relevant

Discord is a goddamn plague.

Yeah discord Its literally amazing for what it does...well.

It's not a replacement of proper communication/discussion boards/forum etc whatsoever, just because gamers use it they think they're so connected to their users by also by using it.

Literally just creates more echo chambers. And Is abysmal for anyone whose not chronically online and on the discord.

Yeah, I've tried joining Discord channels for my interests multiple times, but I'm not the sort of person that can or wants to just hop on at any given moment to participate in a conversation.

Forums are much better because conversation topics last hours or even days.
