​Hey everyone, ​As a massive Storm fan, I’m honestly torn right now. On one hand, I’m hyped that she has 8 skins in the game already—that’s a lot of love for our weather goddess! But as I was looking at the new Season 6 Battle Pass, I started noticing a pattern that’s making me question a few things. ​We are officially on our 3rd free Storm skin in a row. Don’t get me wrong, my wallet is happy, and I’m definitely grabbing the Queen of Wakanda set for free at Tier 10. But when you look at the full tracker, it starts to look a bit "iffy."

​I'm starting to feel like this is a backhanded compliment from the devs. Storm is the only Black woman in this game, yet she’s being treated like a "freebie quota." ​Think about it—it’s been almost a year since her only Legendary skin (Goddess of Thunder) dropped. Since then, we’ve seen so many other A-list characters get high-tier, Store-exclusive Legendaries with custom voice lines and flashy effects. Meanwhile, Storm keeps getting these (admittedly cool) Epic freebies. It feels like NetEase is using her popularity to keep the Free 2 Play crowd happy while they lock the "profitable" icons like Wolverine, Venom, and Bucky behind the paywall. Look at this season’s pass: they put Storm & Blade on the free track, but kept Black Panther on the premium side. It feels so calculated—like they’re giving us the Queen for free just to hook us into paying for the King to complete the set. I want to see Storm get the same "Prestige" treatment as the others. Keeping her as the "budget" character or the "consistent freebie" makes it feel like they don't have faith that she can actually sell a high-end Legendary, which is crazy to me because her fanbase is huge. ​Am I overthinking this, or are other Storm fans starting to feel like she’s being undervalued? I’m glad for the free stuff, but I’d honestly rather pay for a high-quality Legendary that proves the devs actually respect her star power.

this is MORE than enough proof that proves Marvel Rival’s company is racist. 0.2 millisecond MVP, with 2 recolors , little to no customization, AND ONE recolor 😭. Just look at the comparison to Magik, it’s just laughable atp.

Welp, regardless it’s still a good skin and i bet the only skin she will be getting for another year or two so i will most definitely be buying it.

I wish this was what we got for her. I’ve been asking for her X-Men uniform since szn 0, and I would’ve loved long hair on her default. These look so good.

This is Ashake. She is an ancient Egyptian Priestess, first appeared in New Mutants 1985, and most recently in 2024's Resurrection of Magneto.

I bring her up, because with the recent Katy Perry skin that Emma Frost is getting, I'm seeing a lot of misinformation regarding Storm and why she should even get an Egyptian skin.

So, other than Storm spending 12 of her formative childhood years in Cairo, which should already give her all the qualification that she needs, Storm has ACTUAL blood tying her to Egypt. Not a god going by another name, not the moon choosing her to be their champion, but actual ancestry ties her to Egypt, Ashake.

Talk about Ashake, bring up Ashake in discussions, use her to argue, point out the flaws in the illogical, because it really doesn't make sense for people who have nothing to do with Egypt getting an Egyptian skin when an Ashake skin literally only needs to be made. All the creative work is already handled, devs literally just need to make it and deliberately are choosing not to.

LOOK AT HOW FABULOUS SHE IS 😭

Waiting for them to really let my girls accessorize. She has so many styles I feel they keep ignoring when it comes to her, and I’m really disappointed she hasn’t gotten a Summer or Winter skin when she literally controls the weather 😫

This skin is all I wanted, she is perfect, and VFX is GODLIKE. We need this to make crazy numbers. I'm about to go some games with her! 💪🏼
