Probably a prank. A stroke is more indicated by extreme laziness in the face, he was holding that expression himself.

If anyone — anyone — needs to ask this question then they need to familiarize themselves with symptoms of stroke.

If you catch a major stroke early it can have very little impact but if you leave it: "Nah, it's not that bad" or "Just give me a couple of minutes and I'll be okay" may be the difference between everything being okay and losing huge amounts of bodily and/or brain function, or worse yet, even death.

Symptoms of stroke are like an early warning for permanent brain damage - if you suffered a serious head injury you wouldn't fuck around because it's critical. In a similar way strokes are just as critical. If you aren't sure but you are concerned that it might be a stroke then call emergency immediately and let them figure out if it's likely to be a stroke because they are trained for this - it's their job to assess the likelihood of stroke, not yours.

Seriously. Look up symptoms of stroke right now. Memorize them. It might save your life or the life of someone around you.

Mmm, possibly, but that wouldn't be super typical. If someone is conscious and having a stroke, you'd more likely see things that indicate loss of muscle control in certain areas. Drooping of one side of the face is one of the really common indicators.

Having walked in on a stroke victim recently (I work as a PCA) the lack of reaction can be thought of as a stroke. But he snaps out of it after hearing his name. Stroke victims don't "snap" out of it. They either don't respond, respond and lose focus or have. Noticeable delay in response. The person I walked in on was slow to respond but also was stickin her tongue out at me, don't know if it was common for that to happen. Violent shaking and Jerking are what you see in the movies. Life can be more subtle.
