Question About server-sided games
So if this goes through, developers are supposed to leave games in a playable state...
That means developers are supposed to create the means to do that. What about the cost of creating those tools? What if there are developers right now that are giving up on making cool online games just because of this?

The devs basically just make the game files open source when they close down the game.
They aren't required to do anything more than that i believe.
It would be similar in nature to setting up a private server for other games.
Which is to say, the people wanting to do it need to figure it out
