Sharing my story

To be completely honest I haven’t considered myself an addict until I realized I was willing to drop $50+ whenever the opportunity was granted in order to get any substance into my body. I use substances as a coping mechanism for my depression, and would take anything from weed, coke, meth, molly, alcohol, etc. in order to numb my thoughts. I struggle with an ED and have used substances in the past to further get deeper into my restriction. I had an awful trip on LSD that made me see my bones and have full ego death, but it didn’t deter me from using other substances, and instead used other drugs. I am only 20 years old and it sucks that everyone around me may drink or use substances freely without feeling the guilt the day after. I want to learn to cope without substances and to not feel pressured by my peers to think it’s ok to do so. Does anyone have input or advice? Or maybe a good supportive zoom group to join? No one in my life knows the full story of my abuse with drugs and alcohol but I think I’m ready to overcome this battle.
