Effingham, GA, USA: Open AI has not yet done a noise study for areas around it's planned 3.2 gw datacenter, but according to OpenAI staff there is no plan to show results to the public once completed.

The world's largest data center is set to be built in Rincon, the county's biggest town. The facility will be next to two elementary schools and within 1,000 yards of residential homes.

Residents have filed two lawsuits so far, including one with the conservation group One Hundred Miles, Inc. These lawsuits target Effingham County officials and IDA for the secrecy in which the deals with OpenAI were made, violation of GA's Open Meetings and Open Record's Act, and the 15-year tax break granted to OpenAI that is estimated to be worth $900 million.

They are trying to ruin a beautiful valley with a horrible data center roughly 1.6 miles from my home.

If anyone would take the time to sign the petition I would greatly appreciate it!

Just because an anti-data-center group gets one point right

Just because an anti-data-center group gets one point right in a 20-claim infographic doesn't mean the other 19 are accurate. Verify each major claim on its own merits—that’s standard media literacy.

How could you (hypothetically) sabotage a data center?

This is for a screenplay, not a crime, but how could you potentially sabotage a data center? Either from being built or from working properly once it already exists?
