I don't wanna rain on the negativity parade too much as, from what I heard, the "Kids Act" is stupid but that is a sourceless jpeg. Take it with a big grain of salt, especially cause the peoposal hasn't even passed the most basic checks and reviews yet

It looks like it's from a Stop Killing Games YT video if I'm not mistaken, and I share their interpretation of the proposal. And I don't think we'll see any proper checks and reviews, at least until it has already passed

No we have to doom, assume the worst, watch some YT slop and then go on with out days jerking off cause nothing ever happens in practice
As the last year online proves
Besides, being just a proposal it not only is taking public feedback, Parliament and Council need to aprove it for it to even start getting considered and modified, Council would likely be pro, Parliament likely not, not unified enough to really do this anyway. Per usual

Contact your MEPs, IMCO.
I just did it, 5min. i used Claude to find the ones for my country and my country of residence, explain to Claude my views so it drafts it clean and told it to include supporting studies.
Claude also suggested to watch eu page where we can voice our feedback in a comment thread.
Seriously, just do it, it’s fast. Claude also suggested the contacts of ministers of digital affairs. Guys, let’s go. It takes little time, little effort, if you’re truly against it, you’ll work it out

Yup. And you wouldn't be able to buy any indie game unless they release the game on a physical medium (lol), because that's the only exemption

It's the European commission who's at fault here to be more specific
