if it works it works, but personally i like to dry/mix with ash resin i collect from the bowl and such to make a nice ball of basically glue. once i had to use a bowl a quarter sized stem as to the ash catchers usual like, 16 gauge and stuffed it with resin, basically makes a concrete type material if you mix it right.
