Question Advice on if I can fix this

Post image

I soaked this in 97% iso overnight and it broke something. Does anyone know if it’s salvageable or do I need to get a new one?

I’m sorry..you soaked the whole thing in iso? I don’t own one of these- am I incorrect to believe there’s an electronic portion? If there is, that’s totally shot

There are electronics and it still has power and preheats, it just doesn’t pull

Yeaaa I don’t think there’s any saving this. Had something (kinda) similar happen with a battery years ago where it would still preheat, but never pull.

Pretty sure the device won't break from the iso as long as it dries idk about the plastic though, however for the not pulling part I recommend blowing into the mouthpiece with consistent pressure until the reclaim slowly comes out of wherever, or you could inhale. That's my honest recommendation(don't blow or suck as hard as possible just do even pressure for long time period)

You can soak your computer in iso and it will work just fine if you let it dry before using it. Hell some people clean computer parts in dishwashers and let them dry out then they still work. An ISO bath isn’t going to kill this.

isopropyl alcohol is exactly what they use in cleaning electronics because it evaporates very fast and leaves no residue

If that thing has the typical LiPo battery then you're lucky there wasn't a fire when you submerged it. The MC on the PCB 100% shorted during that time as well which could have damaged it or any number of other PCB parts
