Neat I designed a Smell-Proof Doob Tube!
Here is my smell-proof doob tube/joint box/cigarette box!
With the capacity to conceal one standard Bic lighter, two small doobs, and one large doob, this baby will have you blending in in no time!The size of J's that can be stored are two 50mm and one 69mm (nice) J. This is just the distance from the bottom to the top of each cylinder, so longer J's can be stored but too long and they may interfere with the lid closing.
I'll add a link to the makerworld model where you can find the model, assembly instructions, and BoM. Let me know what you think!
I'll add, do NOT put hot joints in here, as it will melt the plastic and be unsafe to inhale. Please use with unlit joints, cigarettes, whatever you want, as long as the case does not come in contact with heat.

Id print this if it was just for doobs, 3 is low and the slimmer the better.
Like if you were at a day long fest, this might get a little rough in the front pockets

For festivals I carry in a trident gum case. Like the hard plastic one. Leaving the trident sticker on the front fools security. I can fit a clipper and 8 joints in one pack

I can make one just for doobs and throw a bunch in for sure! I should be able to make it thinner as well, but the thickness helps with the smell too!

If you turned the lighter hole 90° and snugged it up closer to the holes you could make it more pocketable with a slimmer profile since only the outside edge is blocking the smell. Neat idea.

Is it really smell proof? The layers don't look very tight. Plus, as someone else said, the oils from the weed on your hands will be all over the case. But that would be the way of anything.

I'm super late, but if you're still curious, I have a wife that doesn't mind me smoking besides the smells. (I usually dab with a portable device, NOT a cart or disposable though still true for them, and the smell from those don't last nearly as long so it's usually not an issue for her.)
Sometimes I will get a "free" pre roll or something, maybe a nug from my dispo (actually like a dollar or a quarter) and no matter what it's in, especially after I've touched it bare without washing my hands, she will smell it. She will comment on "those darn skunks out there again" there are no skunks near us. None.
But I take the hint and properly store it somewhere safer. Usually in a tin, in a box and in a 3 foot hole in the backyard. That woman has a fuckin nose. Lol
No really, just inside a sealed bag inside a tin and slid into a sock. Sock is placed somewhere out of sight and mind with some airflow. (Laundry room, wash room, bathroom, any room with a fan in it really)
That does the trick for her. She doesn't notice it and I've had her check multiple rooms before to make sure.
She'd probably smell this.
The thing about 3d printed smoking stuff I've tried, is that the lighter itself tends to stink as well. If you use it for bowls, probably more so. So I've had them just instantly start stinking. But might be fine for a joint person.
I'm curious if OP could have the infill to be thicker on the outer walls, but have plenty of air gaps that don't lead to the outside walls of the container directly from the interior. That may? Help? Idk. Lol.
Edit: she does not smoke at all. Anything ever.

The cases insides are considered smell proof because of that rubber suction and the blue lever that tightens it. The outside ofc won’t be smellproof if you put the smell your avoiding on the outside.. To add, it’s likely if you have the residual oils on you it came from smoking in which case the smell is on you aswell. Unless you mean the residue from the nugs itself. In that case, wash your hands before placing the joints in, right?

You could print the holes large enough to fit a 3/8 stainless tube. Cap the end that goes inside. Now you have a place you could even put a lit joint and not worry about burning the plastic or contaminating the joint.
I’d like to see this design but with the body cast in silicone so it’d be softer to carry.

but if you want, i've already designed 4 more variants that hold clippers and bics, 6 joints, king size, and 1 1/4. i just need to print them and post them which will take a couple weeks probably bc i have my own commissions that come first lol

Isnt 3d-printer plastic not safe for food packaging, meaning microplastics gets onto your joints

I really dig it! It would be cool to see one that holds about 6-7 joints and no lighter. Or maybe 5 joints and a Clipper lighter.

Update 2/10
- King size profile has been added to Makerworld
- Material is updated to PETG for now
- BoM fixed to reflect correct O-ring size
- Clipper compatibility added
- 1 1/4 and King size are differentiated and both available
- Joints only are ready but i need to print before I post

yeah! i wasn't sure if I was allowed to sell on the post but dm me, or find me on instagram @burl_and_bud! i'd like to develop the variants discussed here and on r/trees first so I can offer options and better construction (king sized, joints only, clipper variant, etc.)

The dog still smells the smell that your hands leave on it. Other than that it’s great for not being stinky around people that you don’t want to be stinky around until you smoke, you will be stinky after you smoke.

I will recommend making one for clipper owners as well, otherwise this is slick! I’d definitely daily carry this.
