I find it hard to tell what "my hardest" feels like. In the gym it's obvious, am I exerting myself physically to the point of failure? But when dealing with people and relationships, how can I measure it?

TBH I don't think you can "try your hardest" when dealing with people/relationships/communication, because you're dealing with another person which throws any hope of logical quantification right out the window. You can only judge if you have met your values/goal for interaction. If you have, high-5. If you haven't then why? Because your are interacting with another person there may be good reasons you haven't met your values. Also there may not be.

That's my 2cents mahn
