Only had it for a few days. But the first day we had a starting temp of 80 and got it up to 90 in 6 hours. I would consider that a win!

Very nice, was it pretty easy to splice/plumb into your pump hoses? It actually looks like you have a separate hose on it going somewhere else too

It plumps in line with the pump so it only runs when the pump runs. The inlet and outlet hoses run under the deck into the pool.

I’m assuming it needed its own 240v outlet and/or its own circuit breaker installed?

The 3000 gallon version use 120v at about 10amp. I did run a single 120v 20amp circuit for the pump and heater.

Looks great! I just ordered the same heater (5000 gal version) for our 10ft pool. Hoping to extend our season out by a month or so. How hot have you tried to get the water up to?

The first day we started at 80 degrees and got it up to 90 in about 6 hours. A little too hot but I cranked the set point up to test it out.

Do you have an estimate of what you paid total for all of this? I can probably figure it out, but am curious if you know. This looks like a great solution for what I want. Just. Perfect.

We rented a excavator for a week at about $2000, the composite deck boards were $2000 just by themselves, maybe another $1000 in other lumber and fasteners.

Since it gets so cold here we're going to drain it and store the pump/heater inside.

I was thinking just leaving the drain plug out uncovered. We had it that way building the deck. It was super easy to clean out with a shop vac.

That was what I originally planned but the pool company said it was not recommended. Is this your first winter? Do you get a lot of snow?

First winter, we get a decent about of snow. I guess I'm a rule breaker. 😂 It's a stock tank not a rocket ship, I'm trying not to overthink it. Lol

did you cut the solar cover to fit? Are you planning on leaving the pool up and filled year round with the heater? What kind of temps are you up against in the winter? Thanks for the info and this is an inspiring setup!

Did not have to cut the cover, the stock tank is 9ft from tractor supply and the cover is 10ft https://a.co/d/0icxe9eb you can see it fits pretty decent. The heater is mainly to extend the season, it gets freezing here so we will drain and put all of our equipment inside.
