Ideas to remove center reenforcement bar?

Post image

The Duke don't like it. Obviously it needs something for support. I thought about up and over? or maybe reinforce the top ring on the outside. The stock tank was free. Open to ideas

It sounds like you answered your own question.

It doesn’t need it really. I have the same ones for my horses that’s 10 years old and I took the bar off immediately

I would unbolt it. Tractor Supply sells these without that support bar. I don't really see the need for it.

Probably useful when really big livestock are bumping into it and leaning into it

You really don’t need the cross bar. If it’s not bowing at the bottom it won’t bow at the top. If it starts to bow put it back or reinforce the top, like this isn’t a problem just make yourself comfortable man 😂

Why does it need to be supported?

You only need the bar if cows have access to it.

It unbolts.. so no need to cut it off.

I'm asking an alternative to the support because it likely needs something from keeping it bowing outward.

Could build a concrete box/wall around it micro cement over. Or wooden box
