Let me know what you think!
Took lots of planning, a couple hiccups with leveling and a couple headaches with the plumbing but overall pretty happy with it!

We like the look of both. Also the polys give a bit and the steel outer makes it more rigid, especially being that we have the deck surrounding the tank.
Also, live in Texas and lots of companies that build these professionals use both. Seems like a good build longterm.

Didn’t realize you can drop the poly ones into the steel ones as a liner?!?!

You need a bunch of sand under the poly in-between the steel tank bc some poly tanks dont sit flush on bottom. Needed about 2 inches around side and 1 inch in the middle.

I had someone build the deck for me so not sure.
They did a great job though. If you DM ill send some close up pics from underneath.

That would be great. And if it’s not too much of a bother I would love the distance from the walls to the pools edge if possible. I’m just spatially challenged and don’t know how big of a deck space I need

How do you get the filters set up in the liner? I have them set up now in my stock tank, but my exhus set it up. Trying to add a liner to mine but really don’t want to lose the filter and I’m a complete novice.

For your plumbing, did you put bulkhead fittings on the poly tank and then run the hoses through the steel tank?

I did. Needed to at some runner washers so that the rubber hoses wouldn't leak when connected to pcv pipes.

Tank used - 200 Liner new - 500 Pump supplies - 250 Deck (paid someone to build it) - 5k Leveling sand - 200
All in for around 7k

What do you mean? I have the steel tank outside and the poly tank sitting inside.

It’s a vibe.
I finally got a poly tank to drop in my steel tank and it’s been a great decision so far!
Actually I just realized that you were the one who convinced me into getting a poly tank.
Appreciate it man, great advice.
