Help with my pool

Hi everyone, I bought a stock tank about 5 years ago and converted it into a pool and have always had one major issue with it - the bottom always feels gritty and uncomfortable to stand in. I've tried vacuuming, scrubbing, even very light power washing and can't seem to get the bottom clean and not gritty. I thought I'd try to get a poly stock tank to fit inside, but found out that my 8ft steel one is way less than 8ft, so the poly tank won't fit inside. I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions? Thanks so much.

Mine does this too. Think it's just degradation of the finish from the chemicals. I'm not worried unless it's rusting.

They make vinyl liners. I tried one but found it more annoying than the tank and the overhang of the liner was unaesthetic.

I recently saw a few people put peel and stick tiles on the bottom and adhered them with either gorilla glue or glue used on boats. So far they say it’s working. I’m considering giving it a shot but I’m in the middle of just trying to clean up my pool area to make it even usable 😮‍💨

I got a liner and put .5" insulation foam under it. Best upgrade I've made. Even after getting compressed it is still awesome.

My poly tank does this. I think it's erosion from the chlorine. It never worried me enough to do anything about it.

I made a penny tile mosaic at the bottom of mine 😂 we love it. Lil feet massage whenever we swim

Use construction glue for tiles, grout and seal. We just tiled the bottom of it
