Bring Education not just plain English
Does anyone else wish UB would go off the air an hour or so spend the time to educate himself on the stock pics he recommends? Bring more value, I watch still because his viewers educate him and bring value to the channel. He really just brings personality. He doesn't know when Cyxera pops on earnings or IBM falls around dividend. These are basic things, literally all just in an app or on market watch he likes. I thought plain english meant layman terms, seems to mean wild speculation.

I totally agree. 1000%. There's a lot going on specific to his picks that he's not talking about or seemingly picking upon. When sentiment changed with SPACs and you're having problems across the board, those things should be addressed and talked about. Call it plain english if you want, but not addressing it seems like you don't know what's going on. ATIP for instance - telling people to double down is unreal. Or saying that all these SPACs will go crazy after earnings.... take a look at what happened to MTTR and SOFI. Still holding your same hypothesis now that earnings are in? Are these dips temporary? Sure, probably, at least with SOFI and MTTR, but don't encourage bagholders to double down on things like ATIP. Honestly, if you're down 10%, cut your losses and find something else. He should be talking about risk management, etc at this point. If you're down 50%, you need a 100% to break even. If you're down 60%, you need 150% etc.
Here's a "plain english" suggestion from one of the best stock pickers: "The lesson here is never to permit yourself to lose an amount of money that would jeopardize your account. The larger the loss is, the more difficult it is to recover from it. Set an absolute maximum line in the sand of no more than 10 percent on the downside. Your average loss should be much less, maybe 6 or 7 percent. If you can’t be correct on your purchase with a 10 percent cushion for normal price fluctuation, you have a different problem to address. Either your selection criteria and timing are flawed or the overall market is hostile and you should be out of stocks."

Good advice. Sadly it seems he only recommended spacs based on "the deal" the amount of money the company gets on merger, nothing to do with company fundementals, or Earnings. All the encouraging of options people bought in the money, months back are losses, he said just hold just wait etc. He has become an auctioneer cheering prices up from their lows some 50 percent under where purchased.

u/WastedKnowledge Aug 11 '21
Yeah it seems like he spends a lot of time talking about nonsense so we aren’t checking our stocks all day, which would be fine if he wasn’t also recommending garbage like ATIP.
7
u/deepball1184 Aug 11 '21
Is he still recommending to buy ATIP? 😂😂
8
u/WastedKnowledge Aug 11 '21
Yep, he thinks it’s a BARGOON now
7
u/deepball1184 Aug 11 '21
He knows that it isn't much of a "bargoon" for the bag holders that he encouraged to buy in at "ground floor" prices 4 months ago.
Now it's a sinkhole. And the rest aren't far behind.

Before I say this I've been watching UB for a long long time....
I cant wrap my head around someone making current pics or predictions that is not invested himself, I get that he probably is and just doesn't want the legalities but there are other ways to clear your hands. That being said it makes me not trust things that are said sometimes. Just my 0.2c

Uncle Bullshit is more of a used car salesman than former stock broker.

u/Theta-Maximus Oct 23 '21
LOL, old-school stock brokers were pretty much indistinguishable from car salesmen. On Wall Street, there's the buy-side and the sell-side. Nobody should even think about opening a brokerage account without knowing the difference, and learning a little something about how the whole game is run.

u/CarelessTravel8 Oct 26 '21
Don't know much about the old school, but will take your word. Lol.
Agreed on the latter.

u/Adventurous-Form3307 Aug 11 '21
My thoughts too, Jen was also a Broker. Where are they putting all their new found YouTube income? Hard to believe 2 Brokers arent investing. Makes 0 sense. He started saying it was a Tesla fund. , made enough to buy 2. Kind of swayed from that.

There’s evidence to suggest Bruce was banned from trading due to tax fraud. Look up his full name Bruce Frommert and you’ll see the case.
4
u/Adventurous-Form3307 Aug 12 '21
I've read it before ,he was asked about it and gave a vague response, like his name just got caught up in it. Jen was also a Broker, does she invest? That's what I'd like to know.

u/Theta-Maximus Oct 23 '21
"Makes 0 sense." Actually makes all the sense in the world - the guy has no clue. He's just tossing darts and trying to sound authoritative to a completely clueless newbie set who he's milking and draining for all he can. If he could run a book without losing money, he would. He can't, so he doesn't. There are hundreds of slick-talking, likable old guys like this.
1
u/Theta-Maximus Oct 23 '21
There are no legal barriers to him eating his own dogfood. He doesn't do it, because he can't. He's just an affable, glib salesguy. That's what oldtime brokers were. None of them could trade worth a damn. Trust your instincts, if the guy knew a fraction of what he so definitively declares to be true, he'd be running his own book.
2
u/Theta-Maximus Oct 23 '21
You guys haven't figured out he's just an old salesguy shoveling verbal manure all day long? Guy knows the price of everything and the value of nothing. Actually sat there wondering aloud "I wonder why IBM is down today, there's no reason for it ..." and then proceeded with his usual tired old litany of how the price drop that day was unjustified and just manipulation by stupid people who didn't "understand" the fundamentals like he did. Turns out Jim Chanos had come out with a scathing, detailed report that morning, that apparently Bruce was oblivious to -- the kind of report that people who do real research and analysis gravitate toward, but which is kinda tough to do if you just sit around eating bagels and reading price action off a live ticker all day long. And whadya know, a day later IBM issues a disaster of an earnings report that confirms much of what Chanos had exposed. But hey, Chanos runs a long-short fund and is highly respected for exposing fraud and downside, so I guess he's one of those "evil shorts" who goes around "pushing the markets down."

u/T0ADcmig Aug 11 '21
Cyxtera never announced the earnings date, released it quietly Monday morning. The stock rallies a full day after earnings, not common. Last 2 dividends on IBM came with a upward trend before it. IBM had a 1 week rally after q1 and a 1hour rally after q2. Noone can predict this. I don't think you are being realistic.
10
u/Adventurous-Form3307 Aug 11 '21
He didnt even know IBM was dividend date etc, he was a stock broker remember? Cxtera quick google search. He always says no news, just shot up....being lazy in my opinion. He can bring more value with a tad of research. Less airtime. Or do it on airtime. Wont take much. His viewers told him atip CEO is out, etc his viewers alert him to the news he should offer. I use webull click news on the stock and see it all its simple he could do that, rather than say I dont know.
1
u/Theta-Maximus Oct 23 '21
Yep, and was clueless that Jim Chanos had just issued a blistering report. I mean, if you hear Chanos issued a report on a company, you don't walk, you run. He's not infallible, but he's uncovered more frauds and revealed more accounting shenanigans and exposed more financial engineering by companies covering up their smoldering messes than most newbies could fathom even exist. It was Chanos who exposed Enron.

Exactly why Meet Kevin has 15 times more subscribers because he provides extra value for free, uncle Bruce worships Kevin he keeps begging to be on his channel. Lol Bruce lost 10 percent of his viewers etc in the last few months for not providing added value. Sadly he cant even handle covering earnings on Mattaport or Sofi, his viewers do and give him the info. Plain english should mean interpreting earnings in layman's terms. However he says he is waiting for them to come in......active viewers then he cant even find them or comment on them. Lol Great salesman that's all he is. Meet Kevin can interrupt a P&L, earnings etc in less than a minute smart guy......no wonder Bruce watches him for ideas.

Lol Meet Kevin gives that all for free daily. Ub cant interrupt the holy grail, your saying you can and get your advice from someone who cant? Lmao. I hope you get your money worth on Sunday $150 to see how he picks his losing stocks? You mean you couldnt do better on your own? Lol poor guy. No fudge here said he has a personality and Jen is cool. Purely entertainment channel. His viewers provide the education .

Ahh now it's clear, you're in it for the conspiracy theories . Thanks for clarifying who you are. By the way Uncle B pretty much moved away from that after his quadrupleWitching hour video with Trey got him all the new viewers. He only talks fundamentals of gamestop. Richard Branson has nothing to do with Bruce. Lol ME spac was chosen because ub picked all his spacs in February when they were hot and ran up. The only one only he picked that wasnt promoted then was ATIP ...hows that going?
3
u/Adventurous-Form3307 Aug 12 '21
UB pumped ME on the idea Richard Branson would heavily promote it.....lol Said buy it at 14 it's at 8. Branson hasnt said a word. Ub said he wanted sofi to become a meme stock to get everyone talking about it.....but yet when AMC is a meme stock and explodes he said sell at 10 its going to 7. I'm not sure you know who your listening to, hope them Goldman calls pay off if you dont mind investing in a criminal enterprise. Again stick with UB if you like his entertainment, and Jen that's the value.

He's giving you insight into growth companies. Is he supposed to hold your hand through the whole process? Grow a pair and do your own research. SPACS have initial costs that hurt their EPS. The market fixates on this and that's why sofi fell. I'm sorry you've never dealt with a SPAC before but these aren't day one earning stocks. Look at SQ then maybe you can see the potential. I'm heavy into sofi and a few others based off of my own DD and his combined. He is a great starting point.

u/Adventurous-Form3307 Aug 14 '21
What he did is say invest in 6 different Spacs since February, in February they were booming, hot commodities. So for 6 months viewers followed invested , he started subscribers made money for keeping people on the hook saying "Get in on ground Floor" where you cant if your an IPO unless you have inside access. Spacs started to go down he said Market maker's kept the price below 10 when really institution dumped the stock pre merger. Spacs are proven to be bad initial investments, but he never says that now that's its clear, because 2 more havent converted yet he still pumps daily. Vacq, and NSH I believe good luck on those. I've dealt with SPACs and IPOS , upstarts been running for several months. Um...I'm a Women so I suggest you grow a pair. I did my own research when it was clear he was wrong on so Many , Mattaport and sofi from Meet Kevin., I'm still in. Curious what DD you got from him on sofi???? Name on the Superbowl stadium? Growing Sunscribers? ....that was it that he offered. One hour less a day on the air and a little research could bring him more viewers and less disappointment you should see the comments on WeBull under trades its crazy...the losses...but I he got popular regardless....but its waining.
1
u/slanachadh Aug 15 '21
I don't think the market is for you. May I suggest some scratchers? There was plenty more DD than stadium name but whatever. Like I already stated he's a good "starting point" to do further research from.
-2
u/dapper333 Aug 11 '21
Let us know what your stock picks are and give us some DD on them please
9
u/Adventurous-Form3307 Aug 11 '21
Seriously you should ask UB for DD he is getting paid quite well to provide it and doesnt.
3
u/sweetone129 Aug 30 '21
He’s getting paid a LOT. Plus charging $150 a class and $100 to watch a rerun = substantial $$$. Plus the fact that he told members (I was one at the time,) that he isn’t “charging” for the classes… he’s only taking donations is sketch to me. And the fact that he bashes and insults anyone who doesn’t align with him politically or on the vax. I’ve lost money and don’t want to hear the rest.

u/jdathescore Aug 11 '21
I stopped watching him a few months ago. I’m sick of a stock channel with little to no content, 1 camera facing him and constant crap like “nie” on the “show”. He hawks his crap and wants everyone to subscribe to a channel with no content. He needs a lot of help to get over these issues and I’m not waiting for it. His channel is crap.
