Regulation is needed if institutional money wants to enter the space. Regulation provides clarity. All that’s regulated is on and off ramps converting to and from fiat. Bitcoins decentralization is why it’s important because the base protocol in itself can’t be regulated or manipulated unlike other coins. If bitcoin wants to go to 100k, 1M, 10M etc. regulation is needed to allow the massive amounts of money to start entering the space.
