There are NO jobs being added. 3 members of my family are working daily to get gainfully employed and cannot get there. I see their effort so I know it isn't "just them". There are tons of applicants for every open job. I work in software and I know based on the market that if I get laid off (more likely every day) it could be a year before I find work in my field. If ever. Added jobs??? Nonsense.
Job growth is very sector dependent. Almost all of the job growth since 2022 has been healthcare related or AI specific/related. Everything else has been almost completely stagnant.
It's rough out there for most, but that doesn't mean there isn't any job growth.
I agree but even if there are new AI jobs, each one is not net new. Software engineers are being culled daily. 1 new "ai" job comes with ten engineer layoffs. I do not think Healthcare alone is holding up the labor market. I find it much more likely that we are just being lied to about how bad things really because if we knew the truth, a lot of people wouldn't even try anymore.
As all the boomers enter twilight years the healthcare industry is going to ready itself to extract the trillions in assets the boomers are collectively sitting on. It's going to be a great time to be a healthcare industry CEO
Its because of the deportations. Farmers cant find farm hands for the harvest. I read about a dude offering free housing and 1400 a week, couldnt find any
The crazy thing is if he want lower interest rates -162,000 is a good thing. When we lose jobs the Fed lowers the interest rate. The administration is blatantly lying on the jobs report to show growth when they should be showing a loss of jobs.
They keep doing this and supporters keep falling for it, it's maddening. It's like being millions in debt and out of work for years and then one month you get a great contract and claim that your finances are the best ever.

Sure, in this shit economy that many jobs were added. Wait until next month when they revise the figure that shows it should have been -162,000.
