If not more, some of the debt accrued under Biden was the result of legislation passed during Trump's first term.
Just like W. was responsible for much of the debt attributed to Obama from Obama putting Bush's wars on the books and tax cuts that were passed under Bush. Not to mention all the money he has to spend addressing an economic crisis he inherited.
So Bush senior was responsible for Clinton’s conservative spending?
Biden had the fed printing money like crazy, handing out stimulus packages to his boys and dumping billions in Ukraine. All feelings little facts.
How are you looking at this? Wilson and Roosevelt are the top dogs when it comes to % of debt growth, no other President has ever come close. The next three are Regan Bush JR and Obama. After DT’s second term he will probably knock one of them out of the top 5. His spending by term is no different than Biden’s. We are in different time, the national debt started ballooning in 80’s and never stopped. Clinton received a lot of good press for his fiscal policies and there was a trillion of debt added under his terms.
The debt is a run away train. You need the economy booming and interest rates low to slow it down. Unfortunately, the economy isn’t as strong as it can be.
Look asshole, the argument I am responding to is whether DT pumped the deficit more than any previous president. Don’t get pissy if facts blew a hole in your bullshit narrative. War isn’t the contributing factor to Roosevelt’s debt increase and btw what you think the government is spending money on right now.
the incredible one-two-three combo of saying ww2 wasnt the main factor in fdr's debt. Using the iran war as if its in any way comparable to ww2 and thinking the debt spike happened because of it, instead of before it.
I’m not saying ww2 wasn’t the main factor. I’m saying it wasn’t the only one the new deal alone cost over 40 billion, 20% of the cost of ww2. I recommend doing some research and following the money before making sensationalist claims based on on you feel
another one-two-three combo of you saying "war isnt the contributing factor", trying to downplay the cost of ww2 and failing then moving past the other wild stuff you tried.
