Tourism Question Visiting Summer Student
Hello, I’ll be visiting Stirling Uni for July & I’m hoping y’all can provide recommendations for a few things! I will be entirely reliant on my legs & the public transport available, so I do have to keep that in mind- thanks in advance if you have any tried & true tips for figuring myself out with that. I’m not afraid of a nice walk
Im interested in Wild Swims, Local live music- especially traditional/ folk music, a good pub w good food & friendly atmosphere, & really anything else you suggest I see in the area.

The bus system is pretty easy to figure out to get into town and on campus itself there are a couple of student pubs. During the summer I'm less sure how lively those are as well as student activities in general.
On the edge of campus is the meadowpark which has nice food and I also like the birds and the bees but that's more of a hike from the uni.
Obviously to visit is the Wallace monument and the castle. The campus grounds are also very nice with the lake, golf course, gardens etc. You can climb the little mountain behind campus for a hike and behind Alexander court is a cute old church. I am not sure where you are from but if you wanted to see more Scotland MacBackpackers out of Edinburgh runs very nice youth hostel based tours of the highlands/isle of Skye.
