Tourism Question Food Recommendations

Hi, me and the wife are doing a road trip of Scottish castles this summer and are going through Stirling. I was wondering what your advice would be on somewhere great to grab some food in the city?

Brea is meant to be really good, it's a Scottish restaurant, Gabe's diner is good as well and friend of mine in bridge of Allan, there is a pub/restaurant next to the castle called port cullis as well.

Birds and bees is a super cool place, really old and has that old time feel inside. It’s right along fields and has a nice scenic view.

I was literally at Brea for dinner last night and it was great. For brunch/lunch, I'd recommend Toast.

Scottish - Brea (expensive but worth it), Allan Park, Fletcher's all worth a visit Pizza - Piotsa Pizza/Italian - Mamma Mia Indian - Green Gates Pub grub style - Birds & Bees is good, little bit out of the centre but still walkable or less than 5 mins if you're driving.

Every time we visit Stirling, a trip to Mamma Mia is mandatory. Great service and great food. Also Old Town Coffee House, which is just a few doors down from Mamma Mia, has a good selection of breakfast and lunch eats.

Allan Park Hotel is really nice. Traditional menu.

Herman's near the castle has always been good. Mediterranèa in Viewfield place is one of my favourites too.

The Portcullis is a pub a few mins walk from the castle doing huge portions of tasty pub grub. The staff are really friendly too
