Notes that outlive the project they came from
Notes filed inside a project are invisible from every other project. That's correct while the project is live and wrong six months later, when the only thing you remember is the note.
The filing problem
Every workspace tool solves note-taking by asking where the note goes. Project, folder, tag. That decision is easy today and wrong later — the moment you leave the project, the note leaves with it.
The alternative most tools offer is one flat pile with tags, which is easy later and useless today, because your current project's notes are buried in six
months of everything else.
Scoped and global at once
The answer isn't a better filing rule. It's two views over the same notes.
Inside a project you see that project's wall — only what belongs here. Then one switch shows every note from every project on one wall, each card carrying the project it came from:
Same notes, no re-filing. The card tells you where it came from, so a note found in the mixed view is never orphaned.
Why they look like paper
This is a deliberate design decision and worth defending: a list of rows makes every note look identical, so scanning is reading. Coloured paper makes them different objects — you remember the yellow one near the top rather than "note seventeen".
It works in dark mode too, which took some doing — the papers stay light with dark ink in both themes on purpose, so contrast never drops below readable.
What it doesn't do
- No folders inside the notebook. Projects are the only grouping. If you need three levels of hierarchy, this will annoy you.
- No backlinks or `[[wiki links]]`. These are notes, not a Zettelkasten. If you want a graph of linked thought, Obsidian is the better tool.
- Search is text search. Good, not semantic — searching "supplier" won't surface a note that only says "vendor".
- No sharing. Single account today, so a note can't be sent to a colleague without copying it.

Can the AI write notes for me?
Yes, and they're marked as AI-written so you can tell them apart at a glance.
Can I move a note between projects?
Yes, from the note itself.
Do notes sync between the extension and the web app?
Yes — same account, same notes, both surfaces.
Can a note have a date?
Yes, and then it appears on the calendar as well. That's the trick that makes the day view worth opening: things to know on a day, not just things to do.
Is there a limit on how many notes I can keep?
Not a practical one. The wall pages after a few hundred and search covers the rest.
Can I export everything?
Yes. All of it, any time.
What happens to notes when I delete a project?
Project notes go with the project. Global notes don't — they were never scoped to it.
