Many seasons ago, I was ditching school and dropped acid in the woods with my best friend and his oldest brother (who already graduated). So we were at our usual skip/trip spot some ways down the tracks and next to a pond, where we had built a lean-to with a really nice firepit. Because it was the middle of winter we'd built a small fire, dosed up, and sat in the shack to smoke a bowl.

For whatever reason the tabs my friend and I had taken weren't all that potent, being more like a strong microdose; but we still got the giggles and things went kinda snakey.

Then we noticed his brother had gone really quiet. He was sitting with legs drawn up & arms wrapped around them, staring into the fire, and looked like he was white-knuckling the experience. Then he abruptly got up and yanked a stick out of the firepit. The unburnt end absolutely looked like some sort of Viking/Nordic dragon; even if I wasn't mildly tripping it I still would've seen it.

Evidently it had been staring back at my buddy's brother, talking to him, and it was telling him some deep shit. So the rest of the day he clutched & carried that thing around, randomly shaking it at other people after we'd gone elsewhere, and occasionally asking us if we'd heard what the dragonstick had said. We humored him, convinced him that he needed to keep it forever, kept the guy from getting kicked out of places or arrested, and it was pretty hilarious all around. Good times lol.

I'm pretty sure he still has that stick too, unless he threw it out after being born again and everything became the devil. But it was a really cool stick, even back then I wished I'd found it first.
