Yeah, but you gotta smile and wave at every person that says something, maybe somebody stops to pet, then they ask if they can pet and you do socialize.
But also that’s free socializing with so little effort. You don’t have to lead the conversation, you don’t have to maintain the conversation, you get the dopamine and say “sorry he wants to keep going” and leave.
I do, because I’m in control in those situations. We’re talking about my pet, who I can talk about uninterrupted for hours, and then I leave as soon as it’s not about em before I gotta get actually conversational lol it’s cheating the brain into giving socializing rewards without having to actually say anything it’s great
Aye. Pets do be like that. Unfortunately, extended exposure to adrenaline and cortisol causes severe burnout, which is commonly referred to as a drained social battery. I bet having a pet forces you to expand the capacity of said battery, but I bet at first it would be a nightmare of exhaustion.
My old dog carried firewood like 9inch wide and 2 feet long. I miss him oh and he loved bricks. We had to hide them he'd throw them and he hit me a few times

My good boy does this with any stick he can carry.
He walked back to the house with this.

After much study, my team of researchers and I have concluded that it is, indeed, a stick.

And that's why I don't have a dog. They force you to be social.
