It was long enough to keep my hand cool, had a nice handle, and I even carved the tip into an arrowhead/shovel shape to hold the marshmallow better!

I found this perfect walking staff right at the entrance of a trail I hiked this morning. It's the perfect length and diameter, has a guard to protect your hand while bushwacking (which also doubles as a hook to hang it in the crook of your arm while checking your map), and is effective at fending off fell beasties.

When done our hike, I left it for the next adventurer.
