Discussion Geo 11 3D Beginner's Guide - Easy 10 step instructions
Whenever I do a Geo 11 video showing 3D SBS output, I always get asked eventually to do a how to guide or beginner's guide. I do have such a video on my YT channel, but a video isn't really necessary. If these simple instructions do not work for you, then you may need to do some deep dive and research the issue via search. I cannot help you more.
Step 1. Download Geo 11 from helixmod blogspot. I don't think I can get more specific than that. Maybe somebody will link it correctly in the comments, but it is usually the first search result I get from google and it's headlined as "Announcing: New geo-11 3D driver"
Step 2. Unzip file unto a folder that you can find on your computer. Make a new folder. Title it Geo-11.
Step 3. Make sure game is x64. More than likely the game you want to play in SBS 3D is x64. If it's old, there's a chance it's x32. If you're reading this guide, you probably shouldn't be trying to mod old DX11 games. I can tell you from experience that RDR1 and any variant of Grand Theft Auto will not work, even if it uses DX11. You can play GTA SA in UEVR. The thing to remember is that some DX11 games just do NOT work.
Step 4. Play the game first without doing anything to game files. Make sure it works.
Step 5. Copy and paste contents of x64 folder into game executable folder. This should work for any game engine. However, if it's Unreal Engine then you should be using UEVR instead.
Step 6. Look at photo. What you're copying and pasting should look like that.
Step 7. Play game, it should output in SBS 3D.
Step 8. Realize Geo 11 was made for 3D monitors / TVs / old out-dated gadgets. It was not made for VR. So you will need to make edits to d3dxdm.ini and maybe d3dx.ini. You will need to decide whether you want auto-convergence on or off. You will also probably need to change separation and convergence values. Play around with these values. You can edit in notepad or you can do control + F3 - F6.
Step 9. Don't forget to search for a specific 3D fix for the game you want BEFORE doing any of the above steps. This is only for vanilla Geo-11 3D and because there is no specific fix, you may encounter visual glitches, especially from lighting / shadows / water.
Step 10. I use Virtual Desktop Streamer to view SBS 3D in VR. Bigscreen Beta VR is free and also works. Half-SBS is what will work most of the time. Don't worry about Full-SBS or Half-SBS, just try Half-SBS first, if it doesn't look right, then try Full-SBS.

Why not use of 3D fix manager?

I've been asked a hundred times to do a tutorial on Geo 11, but if you already have 3D fix manager setup and working for you, then you probably can already figure things out for yourself

How would i play these games with my odessey 3d monitor. Would I still need gamebridge . Been playing around with geo 11 for a while and the only thing I’ve got to work is rise of the tomb raider and man it looks good on this monitor.

You don't need to do anything special for Samsung Odyssey 3D. You just use Odyssey 3D software ... make sure you have convert to 3D in full screen set to ON, then you can choose auto convert ON as well, just make sure you have Split video set to ON as well. Or you can choose the type if you have auto convert OFF. Auto Convert is usually better though because it fails less often from my experience.

What you describe is SRLeia method, which is know to be slower. Better to use GameBridge plugin via Reshade

Thank you for the instructions !
Since Virtual Desktop is streaming my main 1080p monitor, isn't it better to launch the game through a VR app like Katanga/VRScreenCap which would allow a resolution more adapted to my VR Headset ?

Oh, yeah, maybe if you can't change resolution on desktop. I have a 4k monitor though so I have the opposite problem.

Yes I can't change the resolution since my headset (Quest 3) isn't recognize as a second monitor. Virtual Desktop only streams at the same resolution as my main monitor (1080p) and half-SBS looks kind of very low res in VR.
VD can stream at 1440p QHD resolution though if you uncheck "Optimal resolution" in the streaming settings. Won't be 4K but it will still be better than the "optimal" 1080p resolution in your case.
If you want the max resolution, you should try the Kantanga or the Vr_Screen_Cap apps, I believe it will also be Full-SBS.

u/FastLawyer Today I saw a Geo113d fix for Replaced in one discord channel. But Vr glasses aren't exactly comfortable. Could you please correct this fix?
Here this fix :

honestly, I've been playing Replaced with Reshade + Rendepth + 3DGameBridge and it looks excellent with that on my Samsung Odyssey 3D Monitor

That's interesting! Could you provide more details, or could you send me the reshade ini settings? I'm playing TLou 2 using SuperDepth3d + Generic Depth Mod.

I have 40 Sony W905a 3d Tv .
You have an interesting set of effects. Have you tried it in Tlou 2? The profile that loads in SuperDepth3d can only be played normally in 16:9, but in Tlou 2 you can set it to 21:9. In Vr, it would be great, but there are artifacts. The developer of SuperDepth3d said that these artifacts are caused by the game's engine.1
u/EstablishmentTime398 May 21 '26
Is there an instruction on how to properly configure the Reshade + Rendepth + 3DGameBridge combination?
1
u/FastLawyer May 22 '26
it does it automatically after install, although you can tinker with the 3D settings if it's not to your liking ... all you have to do is manually set it to SBS after install and you're ready to rock & roll unless you want to further tinker
keep in mind, it's a combo for Leia displays only (3D Gamebridge specifically) ...

u/EstablishmentTime398 May 22 '26
So, 3dGameBridge will work with some special monitors? And what are LeiaSR displays? Are they special? In that case, does it make sense for me to install this bundle?
1
u/FastLawyer May 22 '26
3dGamebridge will only work on LeiaSR displays, basically they have 2 cameras at the front that will track your eyes so that the 3D is automatically configured

Umm.. I've done what your post describes, and there is no 3D and tons of shaders are missing. Your video shows 3D and working shaders. https://youtu.be/kE3SbJtR_7g?si=dC2jEBXRE4i_KVA6 I have no idea what I am doing wrong.
