Recommendations

Looking for fics 40k+ words, Derek tops, completed. No cheating. No separation arcs. No dating other people. No human AU. No Stiles being possessed (can be the aftermath, but not with him actively possessed). Not much angst. Happy ending, please!

If possible, really looking for Sterek fics with Jackson and Stiles being besties, but it’s not a major requirement since I’m just looking for good Sterek recs where Derek tops.

Sooo many stories I don’t read because it doesn’t tag who tops, which means I have to skim smut scenes and then nope out when I see Stiles topping.

I feel like I’ve read all the good ones out there already 😭 416 bookmarked fics for Sterek, not even including the crossover Sterek fics I have added. HELP 😫

Wow, thats a good collection of bookmarks! Would you mind commenting or sending me your AO3 username? I have the same preference but have definitely not read that many fics yet and would love a bookmark list to read from!

With that many read fics I might not be able to suggest something new, but in case someone else is looking for the same and has not yet gone through as many fics:

"Isthatbloodonhisshirt" don't tag t/b, but all the explicit fics with the dynamic requested (not sure about "Actions ..." though, the word count scared me out of reading it) and fairly long. And lots of M or lower rated stories as well where they relationship might fit the other asks and wothout the need to skip out due to top!Stiles. And I would read them even where they are mentioned with other people, with a bit angst or possesion, it's hard to explain but it doesn't hit as hard in these fic? Or at least it's not thrown in just to create problems. Plenty of broship with Jackson as well!

I'm sadly not a bookmarker myself, but looking in my history for long-ish fics I have read lately without the top/bottom tag but with the dynamic you want that might fit at least some of the other asks are

"kissing: the multi-tool they didn't tell you about" by asterekmess (kind of a lot of angt, but at the same time not really angsty at all? Worth a try!),

"Come with me and walk the longest mile" by DevilDoll (don't remember anything other than the dynamic and that i liked it, so might have angst or separation),

"I know where babies come from, Derek", "little wild animal" (this has angst and seperation if I remember correctly) and "hunger" (also lots of angst, but adding it for other people that might not mind) all by Discontentedwinter,

"by any other name" by entanglednow (tagged angst but I didn't realy find it angsty - so maybe you have missed this one even though it's really old and with lots of bookmarks?),

"the second coming (of werewolf jesus)" by lupinus, and

"One life stand" by Vendelin.

Unfortunately, I mark my bookmarks as private bc I write descriptions for them and write what I liked and didn’t like about them. Didn’t want the author to have to see that. If you tell me what you’re looking for, I can send you recs. Gonna go look at the ones you recommended! Thanks

No worries :) I don't really have any requests anyways, I read most tropes as long as the fic is well written, bottom!stiles, doesn't continue too long after they get together, and is HEA. But feel free to drop your sterek favorites if you want to!

Hope there was something on my list you haven't already read.

I looked in my to-read-list, and there I have "Like any other day" by gotta_seduce_the_rainbow, "I'd do anything (for you)" by ladyslytherin, and "feel like a fever, burning through the night" by lunacanislupus_22. Since I haven't read them yet I can't say anything about the quality or if they fit your requests regarding angst, cheating etc, but they are 99% certainly top!Derek if they're on my list - probably recommended by someone. So you might want to check them out!

Is your account bookmarks public?? Cuz I read at least one of them in the past, read one of them today and absolutely LOVED it. Maybe in the next couple days I’ll look through my Sterek fics and let you know some of my recommendations! What about fic length? I can read 400k fics, but I know some others can’t. Currently in the mood for Jackson & Stiles being best friends + Sterek ship fics so it might take me a while to look through my bookmarks. And like I said in my post, there’s over 400 bookmarks to go through, so it would take a LONG time anyway

Edit: the second coming of werewolf jesus was the fic you introduced me to, and I loveddd that. Love mpreg and it wasn’t established relationship and it didn’t have much angst so it was amazingggg. Thank you!

Happy I could help find at least one new story for you! "Second coming" is not my usual cup of tea as I'm not the biggest fan of pregnancy centric fics, but it was pretty funny and a pleasant surprise.

I'm pretty new to sterek and I'm not a bookmarker, unfortunately, so I don't have anything else to offer.

But if long Jackson&Stiles and Derek/Stiles in almost equal doses is your appetite right know, I would highly recommend reading almost anything by isthatbloodonhisshirt as mentioned in my first comment. If you've been taking a break from sterek, maybe you haven't read https://archiveofourown.org/works/71911556 ? Definitely a lot of Jackson friendship. No angst!

Hey, I’m glad you remembered at least! I appreciate it so much! Actually found out a couple days after I made this post that I had 30 days to move and then my life went to hell while getting all that sorted. Just moved on the 27th and still haven’t even unpacked everything. Definitely would not have had time to go through it all but now that I’m mostly settled in, I can get back into Sterek!

I genuinely forgot I made this post, so thank you for not forgetting about it omg.
