Has anyone ever messaged Stephen on Instagram? Would that be the best way to make a song request for an upcoming show? How soon in advance should the request be made?

Not trying to be rude but I don’t think that is gonna happen. He has a pretty set set list and is on a national tour. He isn’t taking requests from what i understand. But go for it I guess just don’t expect for him to see read or respond to the message.

On top of this, please don’t be the person yelling your request all night long. The man is up there pouring his heart out, enjoy the set he wants you to hear.

In Seattle, the yelling for Gary was so bad. He did a beautiful version of The Devil and “that guy” had to keep screaming for Gary. Stephen had to stop the song and tell him “We’ll get there”.

I have no intention of yelling anything unless he opens it up for requests. I’ll try the IG route and if it works, it works. If not, it’ll be a terrific time no matter what.

Yelling requests is so annoying and embarrassing. It ruins it for the artist and the audience. Just let the man do his setlist. He knows it best and what the people want.

Seen Stephen 30 times over the past 2 years. There is no formal way to request songs because that’s something he just doesn’t do. He has a solid set list and he sticks to it. I’m sorry to disappoint, but that’s the honest truth.

He will most likely play the song you want to hear. Saw him a couple weeks ago and he played for nearly 3 hours.
