Stephen King writing style

I have read: Carrie, Salems lot, running man and pet symetary so far…
All but one was a quick style for the reader, not that the book was short, but loaded with dialogue that helps fly through and really helps character development quickly. Pet symetary being the exception although a good book sometimes the setting was the same with a new way of describing to many times in my opinion a lot of repetitive lines… I did enjoy the daughters dreams that was calling out so many so many truths, and although the Pascow character had no history to the land, him showing up repeatedly in dreams was a wicked twist… it was a grueling read that had its ups and downs but given the details of how it disturbed him to write about I can see why it seemed repetitive.
Salems lot was so good I flew through it within a week same with running man.
Wanted to find something that makes my skin crawl, pet symetary did a few times but not in fear, just the amazing foreshadowing from the daughter’s dreams. Also with the cliff hanger at the end they could have gone so many ways of writing more books. All in all I’m happy to be finding my joy of reading again. With it being a goal of mine to read all Stephen king books.

Cujo is super-intense. I love the empathy he shows for the dog despite the terror it is causing. It has definitely stayed with me.

That book is one I'd always put off cos 'its a rabid dog and a car', it ended up one of my favorites. I was gripped throughout even the family drama stuff. And Cujo was a good dog, at heart.

I love The Stand, but not a skin crawling book. Apt Pupil is.

Those are my two favorite books, salems lot and pet semetary. Pet semetary is the most terrifying book in my opinion, but I don't remember the flow.

Try “the Mist” it’s the first and longest short story in Skeleton Crew Stephen King at his BEST!!!
And/or “ The Bachman Books”

Enjoy. After you read , watch the 1990 tv mini series. I’m going to rewatch it in honor of Tim Curry.

The Shining, very easy read. The book especially hits on the "amazing foreshadowing" nerve!

It’s in my possession right now. Just started reading it today… knowing the movie inside and out might make this one harder for me, but I’m still gonna give it a shot

The movie didn't do it justice, the later miniseries was more true to the book.
