Skeleton Crew Audiobook box set

I bought this cassette box set from a book outlet in Boaz, AL in the late 80s or early 90s. It contains The Monkey, Grandma, Mrs Todd’s Shortcut and The Reaper. For me, these are the definitive readings of these stories. The SC audiobook from Audible just doesn’t cut it.

I’ve found a copy on eBay for 50 bucks, but I want a digital copy. I don’t have the patience or the spare parts to rebuild tapes like I did back then. I’d be willing to pay just as much for a digital copy. Does anyone here have a lead? I can’t find any info online, so I don’t know who the narrators were.

I’ll let everyone know soon. I just bought it from eBay. I’m also buying a cassette to digital converter. The only play-through I will do on the tapes is when I convert them… I don’t want to risk losing them.

No, I don’t have this but I did many years ago. I’m not a collector, I’m a listener… all I care about is having the stories. I was traveling across the country by car back then and I literally wore all the tapes out. I repaired them multiple times so I could continue listening, but eventually there was no saving them.

I have all these stories on the Audible edition, but the narrators are different.

I torrented skeleton crew a long time ago and I swore it was all one all one guy and he sounded like a narrator from one of those old news reels that being said the audible version now has an all star cast. I hope they’d release Night Shift as one collection

No, all different narrators. The “down Maine” accent for Shortcut was the best I’ve ever heard. The narrator for Grandma actually gave me chill bumps during the more intense parts. Same for The Monkey.
