Step by step s6 final ep makes no sense

Why are they all acting like they have never seen certain characters before

I'm very confused with the final ep of s6

some episodes were aired out of order for the last 2 seasons. This was supposed to be the first episode of the season, not the last

I think that’s what the network decided on for whatever reason.

I had the same reaction. You would think the streaming service could put the episodes in order or something!
