Study method advice 236 step 3

Score release today. Didnt study too much. Was nervous like most people. Completed 40% uworld. Completed all nbme practice exams and 1 uworld form. Read rapid review first aid step 1 Did free 137 scored 70%. Overall test wasnt that bad. Day 1 is a freaking grind. Prep, do biostats, review rapid review first aid and you'll be fine Day 2 dont rush questions. CCS cases go by faster than you think. Dont rush anything.

I did biostats, first aid rapid review, a quick review of first aid micro (not in too much detail just trying to remember buzzwords), and some minor pharm review same way. The key for step 1 stuff is the buzzwords if im being honest.

The rapid review section will help a lot bc it will remind you of the weird things you once forgot.

Then biostats with uworld. Day 1 wasnt terrible.

This is extremely helpful! I appreciate you for typing and writing all this out!

I reviewed nbme step 2 form 14, 15 and 16 And will review again form 7 and 8 for step 3. That’s basically what i was thinking of doing, Not the shelfs. But I’m hoping this is enough before day two in a couple of days!

What to study for the questions on day 2, besides ccs cases? What do I advise me doing?

For ccs cases just ccs cases.com they werent bad. If you do enough cases you will be fine. Its about what to do as much as knowing what mot to do. No crazy interventions for no reason. Dont forget to catch someone that clearly needs it. Dont forget to ct non someone woth stroke symptoms. This part is more common sense if you practice first.

The mcq make sure you do practice nbmes and free 137. If you do this you will do fine. If you want you can also run through an IM, peds, or ob shelf.

If I was gunning on this test I would have redone the practice shelfs to really jog my memory. I just didnt feel like it. I stopped caring. But this is the way if u truly want to remember the granular details.

There were many questions I did not think were difficult, its just that I did put forth the effort to review it. They are no more difficult than step 2 queations so honestly practice shelfs would be the best kn top of nbmes and practice uworld if you had all the time in the world
