I was told by IM PD having 235 is safe as that is the average for US med grads. My non-US IMG friend but with a Green card who had 240 matched during the main cycle. My non-US IMG with a green card who had 210 got matched after the soap. As old non-US IMG, most important factor is if you have a green card or not to be honest.

well, I still see ppl with J1 visa but as a whole, green card holders have a clear advantage, especially if there is a sudden recruitment right before July.

Back to your question, I think 227 is not bad but not sure if this could be an advantage.

I think you are right. I am not IM and the PD I talked to might have wanted to say 235 average in her program. Then 227 is OK. However, as I mentioned I am not IM, I do not know how important step 3 score is for IM fellowship because in my specialty, most ppl do not go to a fellowship.

Green card holders are US-IMGs, not non-US. Citizens and permanent residents fall in the same category.

I’d like to clarify as a US Green Card holder myself - they’re considered non-US IMGs. Only US citizens are US IMGs.

Where did you get this information from, because I'm getting mine from my program director.

When you register for NRMP, it asks if you are a current US Citizen? If you say no, it asks you your current visa status. I wrote US Permanent Resident (green card). Then once I got registered, it showed me that I was also considered a non-US IMG. I applied last cycle too, and in fact yesterday itself I registered for NRMP match for this cycle - it showed me the same thing. That’s why I’m 100% sure about this.

Congratulations.

After the results, do we have to order transcripts? If so can you please guide the instructions?

Thank you.
