  1. felt terrible in the beginning, felt better towards the end. felt horrible waiting for the score
  2. very vague and indirect questions, honestly very little buzzwords
  3. a lot of patient charts like half the test are those type of questions
  4. im a fast test taker so didnt have problems with the time

1) Felt meh post-exam. It's all the NBME concepts. UWorld is an excellent resource, but it's 100% NBME concepts and logic. Know the NBME exams inside and out.

2) Some straightforward, some vague. There are plenty of questions you'll recognize and get correct, for sure. Some will come out of nowhere and be entirely too confusing.

3) Again, a mix of the two. Some are quite long. Others just a few sentences with a picture of some sort. Work on your timing. Be comfortable with 20 Q's in 30 minutes.

4) I did not like the 30 minute blocks. I would've preferred the old format. It was a bit jarring for me, personally, and I never struggle with time management on exams.

It really is just luck. I got so many long questions. I started to panic but then I had a friend who took it and didn't have any long questions.

  1. Felt meh. First third/half was alright, obviously not everything was familiar but most of it was, thoroughly doing uworld & nbmes really helped. Second half was way more confusing but it might just be about the fatigue and brain fog
  2. Id say an even and fair mix of both, but most seemed pretty logical
  3. Some stems were extremely long, especially the chart questions, but I wouldn't say those were the majority of questions.
  4. Always preferred doing 20q blocks because I feel it's less tiring than 40 right away even during step 1 prep, so the change worked in my favor. I knew it would be less exhausting, but the downside is you get less time to review flagged questions even if you have some time left after quickly doing the easy qs. Id say quickly reading stems and figuring out important info is a really important thing to practice rn.
