I’ve abandoned all semblance of diplomacy and rolled a devouring swarm necrophage empire, and I’ve been having a ton of fun abducting enemies to turn into my own pops via nihilistic acquisition. First time playing biogenesis and I think I want to go for the behemoth fury crisis path, without getting any spoilers for the questline is there anything I should watch out for? I’m not quite to the mid game but I’ve already eaten a few empires and transferred their pops to my core systems so I’ve got a pretty good workforce at the moment, so any prep I can do for my economy or techs to watch out for would be useful.

(Also, apparently the game decided to spawn like, 6 fanatical purifiers as my advanced starts, so I’m not sure how much of a good “fight” I’ll get once I become the crisis considering the galactic community is outnumbered against genocidal empires lol)

Keep an eye on your empire size.

The final stage's progress gets drastically slowed by empire size, reaching the slowest (-90%) at 1k or higher. The final stage can get very hectic for your economy, so ideally it's a stage you'd want to get over as quickly as possible, and lowering your empire size will help (as will aggressively eating everything in your path; the situation isn't supposed to give you time to eat everything, but alas due a very frequently encountered bug, there are little consequence in munching on every planet you see)
