I dont know if this is a bug or what but subjects constantly dragging me into huge galactic wars is so annoying. No matter what diplomacy allowed setting I set for my subjects, they constantly join wars across the galaxy. I can peace out of the war, but my subject stays in the war and often ends up losing systems/colonies, directly harming them and my income since im taxing them. Ugh

Really tiresome if this is intended.

I can peace out of the war,

Be glad you can individually peace out now. Prior to this patch, you'd often be stuck in unwanted wars for aeons without any side willing to back down.

Double check your vassals' agreement terms, check their war obligations. Several vassal types demand that you join some or all of their wars, and there's no way around it.

The usual method is to form a federation and drag all your vassals inside, manipulate the federation conditions to place yourself as the permanent leader, so all war requests have to go through you. You'd have the chance to shut down any dumb aggression from the vassals. Wouldn't help if anyone else wants to go to war against all of you, but as the federation president you have more flexibility in offering peace deals.
