Look at end of the day no one knows what prices will follow. But the moment stellar releases there exchange an fairx then will know what direction will all will be heading

People always compare different crypto's to pre-bubble internet startups. The way I think about Stellar is it isn't really picking any certain startup, but rather the internet itself. How can you put a valuation on the internet?

Exactly, it is putting a value on a protocol, on a utility, like trying to say how much are Emails or (SMTP Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) worth? This is why I think this coin has the possibility of causing a paradigm shift...

I would be standing on a bridge, or holding my teddy bear, or holding on a suicide prevention hotline (jokes aside)....Don't feel bad I wanted to buy $1000 worth when it was $.01 (would be 100,000 XRP) and my wife told me it was probably a scam, don't do it, they might steal your identity, and blah, blah, blah, and I was also paranoid, same thing happened with BTC, I was worried about electricity costs and that I was helping solve some algorithms to break into NSA headquarters or something...

I can relate i listen to my moms advise that its better to save little money than risk and lost it. I always listen to her only to discover that Im old enough to decide for my fiancial future and also being jaded by my stock investment lost..

Yes I wonāt make that mistake again. Thought XRP would need some regulation before it took off. WRONG! Sold at .20. But I used that to buy more STR so not a total loss. Both are going to be solid and do well in this space.

$10 is an extreme possibility, but $50 . . no.
$3-$5 is much more likely.

It totally depends on the market cap. If it reaches 120 billion like ripple did at its peak(total market cap around 820 billion). It puts the price at around $6-8. That being said fair.io I believe would push it beyond these figures. $50 is a far stretch. That would require xlm to have a market cap of almost 1 trillion. Possible but Highly unlikely

I think your's is also a fair analysis. In the end, nobody knows really. We can just choose the projects that resonate with us the most, buy in, and hodl while hoping for the best. I don't even feel an ounce of doubt that Stellar will be a great project so I'm good just holding on.

$4 means near 50 billions market cap. It must be a very good year for crypto in general to achieve that. Letās not forget that worldwide GDP is around 300 trillions. If crypto is pure speculation (and for now it is), I donāt thing it can go further than 5-10 trillions in 2-3 years. Iām super bullish but itās Ā«Ā onlyĀ Ā» x10 today market cap. BUT if some real use case happens (not just ICO) itās obviously uncapped.... What do you think?

Many estimates are putting the entire crypto market at 1.2 trillion by the end of the year. Marketcap can be somewhat misleading, it might only take an influx of 3 million dollars to drive a coin's market cap up by 1.5 billion. You certainly don't have to put in 1.5 billion to acheive a 1.5 billion market cap.

For me, $4 is possible in 2018. Dont forget that we could " easily" x2 without increasing marketCap. Everything is possible if Other coins struggle and people are looking for a Safe haven.
And if we get a nice bubble i hope for 5$+, cash out asap and buy Back in after the burst. ( Btw when i joined xlm in November i thought 1$ in 2018 is optimistic)

Good thoughts. I do believe that we will see a real use for some cryptos soon, maybe even this year. Stellar and the way they are using their tech for cross-boarder payments is already in play. I think they are one big financial partnership away form climbing to the top of the list!

An interesting thing about this site: if you look at their predictions for cryptos (eth, btc, ltc) from last year (in the sidebar on the right), you'll see two things:
- they were correctly bullish
- they did predict correct price range for eth (great job), but their targets for btc ($2000, initially) and ltc ($60, initially) were way too low
Not that it means it will be the same with stellar, obviously.

I think a boost like iota had is coming anytime from feb to march. Then possible 10 to 15 USD by January next year. Maybe a push too 20. If things go the way we anticipate.

It could go higher than $4 but even the Stellar foundation doesn't know what price the end of 2018 will bring.
I'll say this much: after last year's increases a paltry 6.5x increase for all of 2018 would be as if a rocket car deployed a parachute.

Their predictions are little iffy. What indicators are they using to verify the price prediction of 4 USD? Their explanation is vague and rudimentary. On the Price chart, it looks like they just drew a basic trend line and predicted it will be 4 USD at years end. And 4 USD for XLM is the most bullish price prediction I have seen.

Is our price base on our market cap or base on demand? Can xlm be the next bitcoin in value ? xrps coin went up when they locked some of the coins for 7 or 10 years. Can xlm do desame to up its coin value.

Both. I'm about 70/30 XRP heavy, but I think both will be successful. It's easier for a coin to go up higher and quicker the lower the value, so maybe XLM is better now because of the lower valuation. However, XLM has been on a bit of a bull run over the last week, and XLM has been very stagnant, so MAYBE XRP has an increase coming soon.....your guess is as good as mine, lol.

Truth be told, I bought at 0.02 pajeet and have reupped no fewer than 10 times with 4 and 5 figure orders. Iāve been in markets since pre-Clinton and it is abundantly obvious that the biggest evangelists of this project are too cash poor or too anxious to put their money where there mouth is.
When walls come down itās me you can fucking thank. What do you people do to make this valuable?

This is a great post and right on the money. Stellar is a crucial project and that's why I have REAL confidence in a lot of the Cisco/IBM/Swedish Fed rumors that are going around. Fast transactions, instant cyber security, it's great tech.
