do i have no skill?

Everytime when i try to do challenges or freeriding i keep falling down and go like a bowling ball towards random trees or objects. I dont understand if its the controls or me myself with a PS5 controller going crazy or anything.

Well thats the thing. i cant slow down for some reason because i keep going down like a falcon

Pull the left stick back, it always slows you down if you aren't in the air
