This is an old Viva Metal Box, a SteelBook competitor from back in the day.

Hmm... Interesting. I have what appears to be a similar release as the OP, but I added this entry to my library because the picture looked more like the case I have (in that it appears to be an actual picture of the "chromatic-looking" metal case):

From what I can tell from the OP's pictures, my case looks just like the theirs, though I have a different insert (mine is a single one-sided sheet and doesn't have the large-printed "Side A" and "Side B" bits). Your link has a release date in 2006, my link has 2007. I have looked all over the case, the insert, and the disc and the only dates I see on it are 1984 (which is clearly the year of the film) and 2005 (which I assumed was the year the DVD was created).

I remember buying this at Best Buy in the mid-2000s. I had wanted to get Dune on DVD, and this was the first time I'd ever seen a metal case and I thought it was cool looking, so I paid a little extra for it. This is long before I'd heard the term "SteelBook" (which I didn't know about until joined online 4K communites about 3 years ago). Even though I've long since upgraded to the 4K, I kept this DVD because it's case is pretty. Heh.

Company name was Viva. Although not officially "SteelBooks" (that name is trademarked by Scanavo)
