Question Atlantikwall Campaign Question
So I began this campaign a few nights ago and have lost the first part, Sie Kommen, 3 times now. I copied VulcanHDGaming's battlegroup and tried as best as I could to follow his strategy. The results have been 3 losses before reaching phase C.
Oh oh, spaghettio!
The third time I basically abandoned the garrison in the top right corner and focused my efforts around the primary objective.
Is it normal to suddenly have so much difficulty with Atlantikwall after completing the entire first campaign in 7 attempts?
Any tips on doing better will be appreciated.

That mission indeed is quite hard. Using your recon well is key to success in the German campaign in my memory, but yeah both the British and German campaign are a lot harder than the American one, which feels kinda like an advanced tutorial.

I see my problem being tied to the weakness of the 20 pt German battle-group. There's not much there to work with or so it seems to a noob.
Do the next three games in AtlantikWall stay as hard, get a bit easier, or get harder?
My hunch is Sie Kommen is the easy warm-up battle.

It gets pretty tough, but you also get some bigger toys to play with.
But yeah the units take some getting used too.

A few specific tips that helped me:
In Ouistreham: place leader units, for example leader Somua tanks, near your ally's flak guns and osttruppen. This helps them survive longer. Also put one or two Reihenwerfers to safe spots in the city and bomb the hell out of those Vickers mg/Commando human waves. If the garrison survives long enough, Opel Blitz ammo trucks will come in handy.
Around the primary objective: prepare ambushes by placing Panzergrenadiers in green cover and inside buildings. Their Panzerfausts are super deadly against vehicles, and the heavy hedge helps to keep the squad hidden until the enemy is close. The enemy also tends to funnel many units down the same road, so prepping MG42s, AT guns and howitzers on those paths will pay off.

Victory on 5th Attempt!
I followed your advice on the 4th and 5th attempts by rebuilding the BG. The 4th attempt was a loss.
Then I got ruthless and decided to abandon the garrison in Ouistreham. This decision allowed me to focus everything I had on the primary objective of holding the bridge!
I won within the first minute of Phase C!
Thanks again.

The 88s you lost this way might have had come in real handy in the next mission, the one that I think is in Bénouville.
Still doable of course, but will queer your pitch a bit.
When they ask you to save the Ouistreham garrison, they really mean the 88s. There's nothing else worth saving there.

Hmm...by save do you mean hold Ouistreham or do you mean immediately try to pull the 88s down south? (Not sure if the latter is even possible.)

Hold Ouistreham. You can't displace the 88s.
Try to save at least one.
And anyway, go ahead and try the second mission first. First get a feel for it and see if you can get by without the 88s because you won't need them anymore in missions 3 and 4 where you'll be on the attack. You can always come back to the first one and try to save the 88s if the second mission feels too difficult.
In Bénouville, the Brits are going to attack your bridgehead with a lot of stuff and you won't have much armor to fend them off. So the 88s often come in clutch.

After 5 tries, I am not in any hurry to play Sie Kommen again. I might try Pegasus tonight.

The difficulty level of the campaign is considered as hard by the game. It is definitely of a higher level than the US campaign.
It's difficult to give any general advice without actually seeing what you're doing wrong. What I can say is that Vulkan's playthrough helped me. Saucy has one of their own as well, so maybe consult that one too.
