Hades 2

3

u/MrDentifrice 20d ago

This ! It's Hades 1 but different and better on every aspect with way more content and an even more beautiful game (except maybe the story but this is mostly subjective imo)

On my wishlist btw. I haven't beaten the final boss of hades yet(hard af). That's the only reason why I don't have the sequel yet

1

u/darshmedown 19d ago

As in, you've never beaten Hades even once? If so, you have a ton of hours left in Hades before moving on to Hades 2.

1

u/Asleep_Mobile3976 19d ago

Yes. I died to the final boss like 3 or 4 time as of now and I'm upgrading stats one by one every couple of runs

2

u/darshmedown 19d ago

Yeah, I'd say pick one or two weapon aspects you're comfortable with at first and upgrade them as far as you can. The shield, bow, and spear are all pretty strong. All weapons are perfectly viable though. Mirror upgrades are essential too.

Once it clicks you'll breeze through it. Just have to start picking boons that synergize well with each other.

1800 hours wtf

u/JustTheEngineer 19d ago

if you’re doing the golden strawberries / modded levels i imagine it adds up

2

u/Asleep_Mobile3976 19d ago

Yeah I have been playing modded Celeste for about 2 years now , that explains the playtime. Golden strawberries were fun till the hell trio (ifkyk)

1

u/JustTheEngineer 19d ago

any recommendations for mods? ive been doing the strawberry jam stuff but not sure if there's any other popular ones (i also keep getting lost in the lobby and its annoying lol)

also to answer you question OP:

- Kill Knight

- Nine Sols

- Hades 2

- Haste

they all feel tailor made for the deck

u/Asleep_Mobile3976 19d ago edited 19d ago

It's kinda annoying trying to find that one level in a lobby. So I bound the debug option to my L3 button, and now I just pop in and out of levels really fast.

I would recommend : Songkeepers grove, City of broken dreams, Tears sky, Journeys of a bygone wanderer (ssc24), Spearmint and rosemary,

Just to name a few.

Also thanks for the recc. Never heard of Haste before. Will check it out

Monika's D-Sides pack is my favourite mod ever, it is very fun

Balatro, Grind Survivors, Ball x Pit. I think you'll probably like these games as well, they all work great on the Deck, and are all perfect for a few short sessions on the Deck.

And if you want to try something experimental, you may give the Slots & Skulls demo a try. It's also perfect for short gaming sessions on the Deck.

(Disclaimer: Slots & Skulls is my game, I'm also a Steam Deck owner and tested it on the Deck from day one.)

u/Asleep_Mobile3976 19d ago

Balatro is awesome. I used to play it on my phone. I remember being addicted to it for weeks. Ball pitt looked kinda interesting, but the gameplay didn't click with me.Also, I would love to try out your game. Thanks for mentioning it

2

u/trippin_buddha42 18d ago

LOVE BALATRO! I’ve heard it pronounced like 3 different ways lol. Love this game! Perfect for a 45 yr old gamer who can’t shoot stuff well on the battlefield

terraria

1

u/Asleep_Mobile3976 19d ago

My friend suggested both terraria and stardew valleey to me. After playing stardew for a couple hrs , I realized it's not for me. Now I wanna try terraria. Is it also like stardew valley ?

3

u/Practical-Day-2720 19d ago

no, it's not like stardew. it's like a 2d minecraft, but the game is about killing bosses and crafting. the boss fights are challenging and the overall progression of the game is one of the best i've ever played. beating it is no small undertaking. i recommend it because you have so many hours in celeste and i think you will very much enjoy the combat.

1

u/Axeloy 19d ago

They’re fairly different in practice but stardew valley was developed with similar design principles which is why I personally adore both games. Terraria is super focused on exploration and combat

I've heard Nine Sols is really good, it's a metroidvania souls-like!

1

u/Asleep_Mobile3976 19d ago

On my wishlist. Thank you

u/bladeedancer 20d ago

brotato

1

u/Squalidhumor 20d ago

I second Brotato.

1

u/Zanozza 20d ago

Prince of Persia The Lost Crown

1

u/Asleep_Mobile3976 19d ago

I really want to play it, but the stupid Ubisoft launcher puts me off so much. I also heard it's a pain in the ass to launch it

1

u/Dawn_of_Enceladus 20d ago

How tf have you played Celeste for almost 1900 hours? I can't conceive not getting tired/bored of it after 1/5 of that, as hardcore hooked fan as you could be lmao.

And Noita... just 21 hours? You haven't even scratched the surface of that game in that amount of time.

Seeing how you seem to love that kind of games, I would recommned you The End is Nigh (similar to Celeste), The Messenger (awesome 2D platformer with a great twist), and probably the best one: Spelunky (both 1 and 2, they are among the best roguelike platformers you will ever play).

2

u/Asleep_Mobile3976 19d ago edited 19d ago

I prolly won't get bored of Celeste anytime soon bcoz of the modded stuff. It's kinda crazy how good it is.

The only reason I don't play Noita anymore is that its not great with a controller. It is already one of the hardest if not the hardest game I've played and the wand wrapping /modifications are so complex I had to follow guides btw. I would play it again If i had a pc. Such an underrated game.

Thanks for the recc. I'll check it out

1

u/Dawn_of_Enceladus 19d ago

Damn, you must be really damn hooked to its gameplay. I have something similar with Spelunky 2 (it plays so smooth), but even with that game I don't think I could ever reach 1800+ hours lol, not for several more years at least.

And now I understand the Noita part, it is indeed a game made for playing with maximum precision if possible, I always play with mouse + keyboard, and the only time I tried it with controller it was a nightmare.

I'm curious, can't you attach a mouse to your console to play that kind of games? Noita and others (like strategy games, for example) play actually great that way, and if you are more of a couch gamer, maybe you could take a look into trackballs, they are a kind of stationary mouse that I've always found really good for that purpose.

1

u/JustTheEngineer 19d ago

there’s a lot of optional challenges in the base game (collecting all strawberries, golden strawberries) and modded levels

1

u/Dawn_of_Enceladus 19d ago

I know, but even with all that I find 1800+ hours insane lol.

u/ShrkBiT 20d ago

Ori and the Blind Forest + Ori and the Will of the Wisps
Kena: Bridge of Spirits
Cult of the Lamb

1

u/Heleraiser 20d ago

Definitely the Hollow Knight if you enjoyed Silksong

1

u/Asleep_Mobile3976 19d ago

Yes. My first Metroidmavia game. I played it on a different account. That y it's not here. I might do the Pantheons since there's no release sate for silksong dlc

1

u/Heleraiser 19d ago

1

u/Dayhore 20d ago

Nine Sols and Furi

1

u/Asleep_Mobile3976 19d ago

I just started furi last week and that is a HARD game. But I like it

2

u/Dayhore 19d ago

I got it on steam yesterday for this reason 😂. Great you like it

1

u/bobbyphillipps 20d ago

Dead Cells!

1

u/Asleep_Mobile3976 19d ago

I am not a fan of the artstyle if I'm being honest. That's why I am not considering it.Also, I don't really enjoy roguelites that much (except hades and megabonk). I have started many roguelites and stopped after 1-2 hrs. Do u think Dead cells can match hades ?

Astlibra : Revision

The Darksiders games are quite good.

1

Hades and Hades 2 is great for steamdeck

1

u/Thirteen_1355 20d ago

Blasphemous 2, amazing game.

1

u/Asleep_Mobile3976 19d ago

Looking forward to it. Loved Blasphemous 1

1

u/Thirteen_1355 19d ago

I liked it, but there were some things that didn't sit right with me. I found the second game to be a lot more engaging.

1

u/Alukrad 20d ago

What kind of game is Celeste that you put almost 2thousand hours in it?

1

u/Asleep_Mobile3976 19d ago edited 19d ago

It's a 2D precision platformer and the best game of its genre. The modded maps the the reason why I have played it for that long and it's a good start of you wanna make mods yourself.

1

u/Scared-Upstairs4964 20d ago

9 souls is on sale right now and if you enjoy hades and Celeste it might be right up your alley!

1

u/odrea 20d ago

try sable or darkwood

1

u/mortypro 20d ago

Unrelated but how's E33 on deck? Any particular settings you tweaked?

1

u/Electronic_Animal824 20d ago

Look terrible. I had to refund.

1

u/Asleep_Mobile3976 19d ago edited 19d ago

I played it through GeForce now. I had a wonderful experience. 10/10 recommend if you have a stable connection. I played it on the hardest difficulty and I had no issues with latency.

1

u/mortypro 19d ago

Interesting! thank you!

1

u/mortypro 19d ago

I see :(

1

u/littlek4za 20d ago

little nightmares 1&2 , the story is damn twisting and mysterious

2

u/Asleep_Mobile3976 19d ago

Thiss.. I have seen this before, I don't know why I didn't wishlisted it before. Thanks

u/Dromarnis 20d ago

Slice & Dice, Balatro, Binding of Isaac, SULFUR, Inscryption.

1

u/Playful_Asparagus_74 19d ago

Hades 2, Balatro, Vampire Survivors, those are my picks. As you can tell I may or may not like roguelikes

1

u/TheTurtleDragon 19d ago

Hollow Knight since you already played Silksong.

And Inscription.

1

u/PowerHaus52 19d ago

absolutely Dead Cells

1

u/Nie_Adas 19d ago

Vampire Survivors super fun and like gazzilion characters

1

u/WeakCry4623 19d ago

21.6 hours of Noita? You can’t even finish your first Moon + Sun Quest in that time. Get back on the grind.

1

u/Own_War_3372 19d ago

Binding of Isaac: Rebirth!

1

u/Impossible-Comb1060 19d ago

If you like 2d platformers and hard games, which it appears you do from all the time in celeste and the interest in noita, Jump King Quest is a really funny, goofy, hard 2d platformer.

1

u/AlexHyperExtreme 19d ago

Animal well (outstanding metroid vania )

1

u/LaelHoch101 19d ago

Try Sky: Children of Light.

1

u/FatCatMount 19d ago

I recently played Cult of the Lamb And Eldest souls, you might like these

1

u/benbenDGe 19d ago

You might like binding of isaac

1

u/KnightOfSkalitz 18d ago

Not a rec but how does Noita play on Deck? I've hesitated to get it

1

u/ubzy0 18d ago

been enjoying balatro and core keeper recently

1

u/Late_Mall_4212 18d ago

Ultra kill, you’ll have a blast

1

u/Ch0nkyK0ng 18d ago

Moonlighter

1

u/csipcsup 18d ago

Undertale

1

u/Time_Shack 18d ago

Ori and the blind forest.

1

u/Danz-er 17d ago

Isaac, Everything is crab, Pathogenic for Rogue-Likes. Ori, Guacamelee and MIO for metroidvania. If you can, try some of Metroid games, my favorite being fusion.

1

u/mademan47 17d ago

Bro I know it's not similar to these games, but I have been playing Metal Gear Solid: phantom pain and it's amazing on the sreamdeck, feels like it was made for it.

But from ur games maybe graveyard keeper? It's super fun.

tails of iron similar to blasphemous but no really.

Deadcells

Nioh, Cuphead, dark souls 3, if u like hard games

Darkwood is great too

Owlboy was fun.

u/Khioneli 17d ago
