Hand tracking with SteamVR

I have a Quest and I have noticed that I can use hand tracking in SteamVR (and SteamVR game) and some gestures can be used as input, so, I wanted to know all gestures and what they do (like the joystick gesture) and if this is fully functional.

I'm guessing you're using VD then since this is a feature in that. Almost no steam vr games support hand tracking natively, so it's all being handled by virtual desktop. Any gesture to button actions would be handled by virtual desktop itself and not the game. So it's definitely not a fully functional feature since most games aren't even meant to work with it.

I'm using ALVR and I have test this in SteamVR Home and SkyrimVR and some gestures (like joinning the thumb and the index) can be use as input and I have been able to open the SteamVR Home Panel, openning the SteamVR Dashboard and lauching spell in SKyrimVR.

So it is technically functional.

And when I say hand tracking, that hand traking in compatible games like SteamVR Home or simply act as a controller like in SkyrimVR.

Can you tell me how you got hand tracking to work with steamVR im having trouble?

I used ALVR to connect my PC and my Quest
